This study describes the influence of variations in the design of the air distributor against burning temperature, lighting time and effective flame time on gasification furnace. This research begins by assembly of the testing installation system in the form of downdraft gasification with air distributor variations. The rice husk is selected as the feeders into the furnace which will be observed in term of their combustion characteristics. In the experiment is successfully measured the temperature of combustion, flame iqnition timing and time effective. The results shows that the more the number of air holes in the inlet canal distributor causes the increase of the iqnition time and the effective flame of the rice husk.
