Summary:Hygiene is basic issue to realizing human health because health is not everything, but without health everything is nothing. Hygiene is placed as main factor in achieving health and prosperity. So development of hygiene that requires serious attention in education to have a positive impact on public health. On the other, Islam provides high position to hygiene. Prophet Muhammad SAW. said, "Cleanliness is part of faith". Indonesia is the largest Muslim country but the population are not accustomed behavior clean and healthy life. This condition is indicated with many Muslims who have contracted health problems relating to the cleanliness such as diarrhea and pneumonia. This qualitative research used an anthropology approach to assess the implementation of lessons al-Islam and Kemuhammadiyahan to created hygiene culture in SD Muhammadiyah 23 Semanggi. Researchers entered the natural territory lives and hygiene cultural activities that characterize al-Islam and Kemuhammadiyahan for studied. Technical research for collecting data is observation, interview and document. whereas the credibility of the measurement data using triangulation. While for measurement data credibilities used triangulation. The results of this study concluded: (1) hygiene is part from akhlak education from Muhammadiyah with portions as much as 4,1% of whole al-islam and kemuhammadiyahan lesson. Hygiene education material covers the ablutions ritual before prayer, wash the hands, dispose of waste in place and civilized defecate. (2) implementation stage of al-Islam and kemuhammadiyahan at SD Muhammadiyah 23: teacher gives perception, examplizing, imitation the teacher attitude, the student habit, the habit blooms well, conditioned environment culture with with mutual remind and latest supervision.
