The lack of any move, rarely activity and lack of exercise makes the body's metabolism is reduced, the fat which is burned to produce energy to be a bit, so fat thickness is happened excessively and causes obesity. One type of exercise that can be used for loss weight and fat thickness are Zumba dance. Zumba dance consists of a latin dance style that combines elements of other dances such as cumbia, reggaeton, beto shuffle, merengue, reggaeton destroza, salsa, and soca. So, the devotee of Zumba dance can be avoid from boredom, where the movement of the body adjusted to the rhythm of music and more muscles worked. Every once doing Zumba dance, it can burn 500-800 calories. Objective of the study:To know the influence of Zumba dance toward fat thickness of women obese in RM7 gymnasium Colomadu, Solo. Research method :This research uses Quasi-Experimental approach. The technique that is used to collect the sampling is purposive sampling. The sample of this study were 24 adult women. 12 in the treatment group and 13 as a control group. The data was obtained, then conducted to statistical tests using the Wilcoxon test to test the effect of a Zumba exercise in the treatment group and Mann-Whitney test to test for differences in the effects of treatment and control group. The result of this research:The results of Wilcoxon test for the treatment group showed p = 0.04 means that there is the effect of exercise on fat thickness Zumba. The results of Wilcoxon test for the control group showed p = 0.17 means that there is no effect of reduction in fat thickness. The results of Mann-Whitney test showed the value of p = 0.0001 <0.05 there is influence on the different treatment groups by administering a Zumba exercise and control groups
