Pengaruh Konsentrasi Ekstrak Sereh Dan Kayu Manis Terhadap Daya Hambat Pertumbuhan Bakteri Mulut

Lemongrass has a content of saponins, flavonoids, polyphenols, and essential oils, while cinnamon has a content of volatile oil, tannins, mucilage, calcium oxalate, starch and a substance known sweet with mannitol. The purpose of this research was to determine the effect of the concentration of the...

520 |a Lemongrass has a content of saponins, flavonoids, polyphenols, and essential oils, while cinnamon has a content of volatile oil, tannins, mucilage, calcium oxalate, starch and a substance known sweet with mannitol. The purpose of this research was to determine the effect of the concentration of the lemongrass extract and cinnamon extract to the broad zone of growth inhibition of oral bacteria. Design this research used complete random design (RAL) with two factor: the type of extract (E), E1: aquades, E2: extract of lemongrass, E2: extract of cinnamon and concentration (K), K1: concentration of 25%, K2: concentration of 50%, K3: concentration of 75%. The method used is the method of pitting. The data obtained were analyzed using the Kruskal-Wallis test with the result showing significance less than 0,05 which means that there is a significant difference of the size of the inhibition zone in different concentrations, so it can be conclude the. widest inhibition at concentrations of cinnamon extract 75%, the higher the concentration of extracts of lemongrass and cinnamon extracts, but given the increasingly broad zones of inhibition.
