520 |a This study is to (1) identify and explain the description of transformational leadership style, workload, motivation and performance of employees; (2) identify and analyze the effect of transformational leadership style and the workload on employee motivation; (3) identify and analyze the effect of transformational leadership style and the workload on employee performance; (4) Determine and analyze the indirect influence of transformational leadership style and the workload on employee performance through motivation to work. The population of this study was all employees of KPP Pratama Karanganyar as many as 101 people with saturated or census sampling technique, which is the determination number of samples from all members of the population is 101 people. The analysis tool used is a model of path analysis (path analysis). From the analysis it can be concluded that: transformational leadership style and the workload has a significant impact on work motivation, transformational leadership style does not have a significant influence on employee performance, but the workload significantly influence employee performance. From the analysis of intervening indicate that: (1) motivation to work can mediate between transformational leadership and employee performance; (2) motivation to work can mediate between the workload and performance of employees. Then there is the effect caused by the mediation work motivation.
