Background: The prevalence of anemia in Indonesia in the age group of 15-24 reaches 18.4%. loss of ferrum as uchas12.5-15 mg in the time of menstruation and the fast growth as well as the increase in the weight cause the female teenagers prone to anemia. The effort of coping with anemia can be conducted by giving the ferrum (Fe) tablet which contains 30-60 mg of ferrum and 400 mg folic acid. Ambon ananaontains ferrum, vitamin B6, and vitamin C which can give a benefit of antioxidant in increasing the immunity system and helping to maximize the absoprtion of ferrum and synthesize heme in producing hemoglobin.Purpose: This research aims to know the effectiveness of Fe tablet and ambon banana with Fe tablet in increasing the hemoglobin level.Method: Kind of this research is a quasi-research of pretest - posttest two group design. The number of samples is as many as spondents. The division of samples is that 15 respondents were given with Fe tablet and ambon banana and 15respondents were only given with Fe tablet.Results: From the Paired Sample T-Test, the significance score or p-value from the Fe tablet and ambon banana is as much as 0.000, with the average score of Hb pre-test is 10.540 g/dl and post-test is 13.840 g/dl or having an increase as much as 3.3 g/dl and the significance score or p-value from Fe tablet as much as 0.000, with the average score of Hb pre-test is 11,060 g/dl and post-test is 12,267 g/dl or having an increase as much as 1.2 g/dl. Conclusion: Both groups are effective in increasing the hemoglobin level. The result of Independent Sample T-Test is that the p-value score is as much as 0.000. It reveals that there is a significant difference in the increase of hemoglobin level betweem the group of Fe tablet and ambon banana and the group of Fe tablet.
