Summary:This research aimed to apply the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) type of cooperative learning model to improve the learning achievement of students in the Pharmacy Management subject in the 11stF1 grader of SMK Muhammadiyah 4 of Surakarta in the school year of 2016/2017. This study was a Clasroom Action Research (CAR). This study was conducted in two cycles, each of which consisted of planning, acting, observing, and reflection on the action taken. The subject of research was the 11st F1 grader of SMK Muhammadiyah 4 of Surakarta in the school year of 2016/2017, consisting of 21 students. The data source derived from teacher and student. The fundamental techniques of collecting data used were observation and test, and the supporting ones ones were interview and documentation. Data analysis was conducted using quantitative and qualitative analysis techniques. The result of research showed that the application of Teams Games Tournament type of cooperative learning model could improve the learning achievement of students in Pharmacy Management subject in the 11st F1 grader of SMK Muhammadiyah 4 of Surakarta in the school year of 2016/2017. It could be seen from the improvement of student learning achievement in pre- cycle with mean score of 61,24 increasing to 76,10 in cycle I and 86,81 in cycle II. The conclusion of research was that the application of Teams Games Tournament type of cooperative learning model could improve the learning achievement of 11st F1 grader of SMK Muhammadiyah 4 of Surakarta in the school year of 2016/2017.
