Some kinds of plant can be used as an acid-base indicator alternative because they contains anthocyanin. Rhoeo discolor or sosongkokan contain purple pigment that is a flavonoid compounds, namely anthocyanin. This research aims to find out influences the type of solvent 95% etanol and 95% etanol + HC1% to change the color of the indicator paper acid-base and the effect time storage on stability of indicator paper acid-base from leaf extract of Rhoeo discolor after tested. The research used experimental method with completely randomized design using two treatment factor, namely the type of solvent (etanol 95% + HCl 1%) and time storage (0, 5, 10, 15 days). Parameter in this research is the color change on indicator paper acid-base from leaf extract of Rhoeo discolor into acid and base solution. A good quality is showed by indicator paper acid-base with solvent 95% etanol + HC1% because it shows a colour that is contrast (peach colored on solution strong acid, pink on solution weak acid, bottle green on solution strong base, and kumala green on solution weak base), and tend to be more stable so still be distinguish strong acid-base solution and weak acid-base during storage until 15 days, namely pink colored on solution strong acid, peach on solution weak acid, lemon green on solution strong base, and green disappeared on solution weak base.
