Rendahnya kemampuan literasi sains siswa sekolah dasar menjadi latar belakang dari penelitian ini. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk: 1) Mengetahui serta menganalisis peningkatan kemampuan literasi sains siswa sekolah dasar yang mendapatkan pendekatan STEM berbantuan articulate storyline 3 blood at work dibandingkan dengan siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran dengan pendekatan konvensional; 2) Mengetahui dan menganalisis pengaruh pendekatan STEM berbantuan articulate storyline 3 blood at work terhadap kemampuan literasi sains siswa sekolah dasar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi experiment dengan desain non-equivalent pretest-posttest control group design pada pokok bahasan sistem peredaran darah dengan subjek sejumlah 60 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk memperoleh data sebelum dan sesudah pembelajaran adalah instrumen tes kemampuan literasi sains. Berdasarkan penelitian yang dilakukan diperoleh kesimpulan: 1) Peningkatan kemampuan literasi sains siswa yang mendapat pendekatan STEM berbantuan articulate storyline 3 blood at work lebih baik daripada siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran konvensional, dan 2) Terdapat pengaruh pembelajaran menggunakan pendekatan STEM berbantuan articulate storyline 3 blood at work terhadap kemampuan literasi sains siswa. Dikarenakan penelitian ini berfokus pada kemampuan literasi sains pada aspek kompetensi, sehingga penelitian selanjutnya direkomendasikan untuk mengkaji kemampuan literasi sains pada aspek lainnya semisal pada aspek pengetahuan. ----- Scientific literacy ability is one of the abilities that must be mastered by students in learning science. The low scientific literacy ability of elementary school students is the background of this research. The aims of this study were to: 1) identify and analyze the increase in scientific literacy skills of elementary school students who received the STEM approach assisted by articulate storyline 3 blood at work compared to students who received conventional learning; 2) Knowing and analyzing the effect of the STEM approach assisted by articulate storyline 3 blood at work on the scientific literacy abilities of elementary school students. The research method used was a quasi-experimental design with a non-equivalent pretest-posttest control group design on the topic of the circulatory system with a total of 60 students as subjects. The instrument used to obtain data before and after learning is the scientific literacy ability test instrument. Based on the research conducted, it can be concluded: 1) The improvement of scientific literacy skills of students who receive the STEM approach assisted by articulate storyline 3 blood at work is better than students who receive conventional learning, and 2) There is an effect of learning using the STEM approach assisted by articulate storyline 3 blood at work on students' scientific literacy abilities. Because this research only focuses on developing scientific literacy ability on competency aspects, furher studies are recommended to analyze students' science literacy on other aspects such as knowledge aspects. | ||
