Summary:Perkembangan TIK mendorong pertukaran informasi yang pesat. Penelitian bertujuan mengukur efektivitas metode inkuiri membaca dan PQRST (Preview, Question, Read, Summary, and Test) berbantuan modul literasi dan numerasi Kemdikbud terhadap literasi membaca siswa. Indikator penilaian literasi membaca: 1). Kemampuan mengambil informasi, 2). Kemampuan membentuk pemahaman yang luas, 3). Kemampuan mengembangkan interpretasi, 4). Kemampuan merefleksikan dan mengevaluasi isi teks, dan 5). Kemampuan merefleksikan dan mengevaluasi bentuk teks. Penelitian menggunakan desain quasi-experiment melibatkan kelompok eksperimen dan kontrol. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kedua metode memiliki pengaruh terhadap literasi membaca siswa. Rerata skor posttest meningkat di kelompok eksperimen maupun kontrol. Rerata skor pretest kelompok eksperimen sebesar 52,44 meningkat 12,04 menjadi 64,48 pada posttest. Rerata skor pretest kelompok kontrol sebesar 40,44 meningkat 13,52 menjadi 53,96 pada posttest. Nilai mean difference menunjukkan selisih antara rata-rata hasil belajar siswa pada kelompok eksperimen dengan rata-rata hasil belajar siswa pada kelompok kontrol atau 64,48-53,96 = 10,520 dan selisih perbedaan tersebut adalah 1,738 sampai 19,302 (95% Confidence Interval of the Difference Lower Upper). Analisis N-gain score menunjukkan metode inkuiri membaca dan PQRST memiliki efektifitas rendah. Nilai rata-rata N-gain score untuk kelompok eksperimen (metode inkuiri membaca) adalah 26,9647 atau 26,9%, yang termasuk dalam kategori efektifitas rendah. Rata-rata N-gain score untuk kelompok kontrol (metode PQRST) adalah 23,3631 atau 23,3%, juga termasuk dalam kategori efektifitas rendah. Namun, penggunaan metode inkuiri membaca di kelompok eksperimen lebih efektif dibandingkan metode PQRST karena memiliki peningkatan yang lebih tinggi. Beberapa faktor yang mempengaruhi efektivitas metode seperti; keterbatasan waktu, adaptasi siswa terhadap metode baru, dan dukungan lingkungan. ------------ The development of ICT encourages the rapid exchange of information. The research aims to measure the effectiveness of the reading inquiry method and PQRST (Preview, Question, Read, Summary, and Test) assisted by the Ministry of Education and Culture's literacy and numeracy modules on students' reading literacy. Reading literacy assessment indicators: 1). Ability to retrieve information, 2). Ability to form a broad understanding, 3). Ability to develop interpretation, 4). The ability to reflect and evaluate the contents of the text, and 5). The ability to reflect and evaluate the form of the text. The study used a quasi-experimental design involving experimental and control groups. The results showed that both methods had an influence on students' reading literacy. The mean posttest score increased in the experimental and control groups. The experimental group's mean pretest score was 52.44, increasing from 12.04 to 64.48 in the posttest. The mean pretest score of the control group was 40.44, increasing 13.52 to 53.96 in the posttest. The mean difference value shows the difference between the average student learning outcomes in the experimental group and the average student learning outcomes in the control group or 64.48-53.96 = 10.520 and the difference in the difference is 1.738 to 19.302 (95% Confidence Interval of the Difference Lower Upper). Analysis of the N-gain score showed that the reading inquiry method and PQRST had low effectiveness. The average N-gain score for the experimental group (reading inquiry method) is 26.9647 or 26.9%, which is included in the low effectiveness category. The average N-gain score for the control group (PQRST method) was 23.3631 or 23.3%, also included in the low effectiveness category. However, the use of the reading inquiry method in the experimental group was more effective than the PQRST method because it had a higher increase. Several factors affect the effectiveness of the method such as; time constraints, student adaptation to new methods, and environmental support.
