| Summary: | Dalam materi fisika, usaha dan energi merupakan materi yang sering ditemukan miskonsepsi pada siswa sekolah menengah pertama. Dalam menemukan miskonsepsi, perlu dilakukan identifikasi menggunakan alat diagnosis yang tepat. Salah satu alat yang dapat digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi konsepsi adalah multi tier test dengan lima tingkat pertanyaan atau yang disebut five-tier diagnostic test. Penelitian ini mengembangkan instrumen five-tier diagnostic test dengan pertanyaan tingkat kelima berbentuk peta konsep. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah research and development (R&D) dengan mengadaptasi model pengembangan yang dilakukan Kaltakci dalam mengembangkan instrumen melalui studi pendahuluan. Instrumen yang telah dibuat disebut Five-Tier Concept Maps Diagnostic Test Work and Energi atau FTCMDT-WE. Instrumen di uji coba secara terbatas pada partisipan untuk mengetahui tingkat konsepsi yang dapat diungkap oleh instrumen FTCMDT-WE. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa tingkat konsepsi yang diberikan pada pertanyaan tingkat satu hingga empat bersesuaian dengan jawaban yang diberikan partisipan pada pertanyaan tingkat kelima. Selain itu, seluruh butir soal FTCMDT-WE mampu mengidentifikasi beberapa kategori konsepsi partisipan. In the realm of physics, the concepts of work and energy often serve as focal points of misconceptions among students at the junior high school level. To discern these misconceptions, a precise diagnostic tool is requisite for identification. Among the tools available for this purpose, the employment of a multi-tier test, specifically the Five-Tier Diagnostic Test, emerges as noteworthy. This research endeavors to advance the development of the Five-Tier Diagnostic Test by introducing fifth-tier inquiries in the form of concept maps.. The chosen methodology for this investigation is Research and Development (R&D), incorporating an adaptation of the development model employed by Kaltakci in his precedent work in instrument development through preliminary studies. The resultant instrument, named the Five-Tier Concept Maps Diagnostic Test for Work and Energy (FTCMDT-WE), was subjected to a limited trial with participants to ascertain its efficacy in disclosing levels of conception. The findings conspicuously indicate that the levels of conception explored through questions of tiers one to four harmonize with responses garnered from participants in relation to fifth-tier queries. Additionally, it is noteworthy that all components of the FTCMDT-WE successfully discerned several categories of participant conceptions. |
