Description
The learning transition of post-pandemic resumption in classroom learning has resulted in a decrease in students' self-efficacy learning. This transition was expected to significantly affect diminishing students' self-efficacy in the context of learning. Symbolic modeling in group guidance aimed to enhance students' self- efficacy. The purpose of the study was to test the influence of group guidance service strategies with symbolic modeling techniques in developing students' self efficacy. The research method used is a quantitative approach, with quasi- experimental methods and used pretest and posttest with group control design. The research samples were 10 students from XI MIPA SMAN 1 Sukahaji Majalengka during the Academic Year 2022/2023. Data analysis techniques used the Mann-Whitney U test. The study's findings showed that: 1) the self-efficacy profile of students in their learning fell within the medium range to some extent, and 2) the implementation of a group guidance programme with the symbolic modeling technique positively affected the development of students' self-efficacy. 3) symbolic modeling technique with group guidance showed that the posttest results surpassed the pretest results, The experimental group measurements pretest showed of results 45,5% and posttest results of 55,4% or increase of 10,9% the result of study point out that the group guidance with symbolic modeling can increasing self- efficacy. The research recommendations are directed towards guidance and counseling teachers, to be able implement group guidance with symbolic modeling techniques with development adjusted to the needs of students.
