ABSTRAK Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian yang membahas bagaimana cara melakukan rancang bangun sebuah mesin dan implementasi pembuatan mesin yang bertujuan untuk memilih kualitas telur ayam kampung dengan mengukur tiga indikator yaitu tingkat kecerahan cahaya atau pada penelitian ini disebut dengan intensitas cahaya, menghitung masa dari telur ayam kampung, dan yang terakhir adalah penghitungan terhadap besar diameter telur ayam kampung. Penelitian ini juga memiliki tujuan menyempurnakan beberapa penelitian terdahulu yang berarti penelitian seperti ini sudah ada namun masih perlu disempurnakan dengan adanya karya skripsi yang dibuat oleh penulis diharapkan penelitian tersebut akan lebih sempurnakan dengan menambahkan satu parameter baru. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah research and development yang berarti penelitian ini akan menggali lebih dalam tentang suatu keilmuan yang sedang dibahas guna kepentingan suatu instansi atau tempat tertentu. Penelitian ini menggunakan 30 populasi yang terdiri dari 30 butir telur ayam kampung yang sudah dipilih secara visual dan selanjutnya diproses menggunakan mesin prototipe yang telah dibuat lalu hasilnya dituliskan kedalam draft proposal skripsi. Sebelum menentukan populasi pada penelitian inipun juga diambil 5 sampel penelitian guna menghitung seberapa akurat kinerja dari mesin prototipe ini, dengan cara membandingkan hasil uji dari telur yang diseleksi menggunakan mesin prototipe dan hasil uji laboratorium, setelah hasil dinyatakan akurat maka proses pengambilan populasi dilakukan, hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mesin prototipe berhasil dilakukan rancang bangun dan diuji akurasi kinerja mesin prototipe, hasil dari akurasi alat ini yaitu mencapai 91.2% Kata kunci - Rancang Bangun, Mesin, telur ayam kampung . ABSTRACT This research focuses on designing a machine and implementing the production of a machine aimed at selecting the quality of village chicken eggs by measuring three indicators: the brightness level of light, referred to here as light intensity; calculating the age of village chicken eggs; and finally, measuring the diameter of village chicken eggs. The purpose of this research is to refine previous studies, indicating that while similar research exists, it needs improvement. With the creation of this thesis, the hope is to enhance the existing research by introducing a new parameter. The research methodology employed is research and development, meaning it delves deeper into a particular field of knowledge for the benefit of a specific institution or location. This study uses a population of 30, consisting of 30 selected village chicken eggs assessed visually. These eggs are then processed using a prototype machine that has been created, and the results are documented in a draft thesis proposal. Before determining the population for this study, five research samples were taken to assess the accuracy of the prototype machine's performance. This involved comparing the test results of eggs selected using the prototype machine with the results of laboratory tests. Once the results were deemed accurate, the population selection process was carried out. The research findings indicate that the prototype machine was successfully designed, constructed, and tested for accuracy in its performance, The result of the accuracy of this tool is up to 91.2% Key word - Desain, Machine, Village chicken eggs
