Summary:Penelitian ini didasari dengan adanya fenomena berupa maraknya masyarakat yang ingin mempelajari bahasa Korea terutama secara swadidik, yang mana mereka tidak belajar secara formal atau non-formal, melainkan secara mandiri. Tujuannya untuk melihat pengaruh penggunaan video pendek pembelajaran bahasa Korea di media sosial bagi pemelajar swadidik, dan melihat apakah terdapat peningkatan dalam setelah penerapan video pendek dalam pembelajaran. Objek penelitian merupakan mahasiswa UKM Hallyu berjumlah 20 orang. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif deskriptif dengan menggunakan metode penelitian pra-eksperimen dengan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan pretest dan posttest, serta observasi dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata mahasiswa saat pretest adalah 72.875 yang berada pada kategori cukup, dan nilai rata-rata setelah posttest adalah 83.5 yang berkategori baik sekali. Selain itu hasil uji hipotesis t-tabel menggunakan Uji-t dengan taraf signifikansi 5% didapatkan t-hitung (11.290) > t-tabel (2.093). Maka Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. Hasil observasi dan wawancara menunjukkan bahwa penerapan video pendek berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan berbicara bahasa Korea yang mana kemampuan berbicara meningkat setelah diberikan treatment dibandingkan dengan sebelumnya. Penelitian ini diharapkan bisa menjadi bahan pertimbangan untuk menerapkan media video pendek dalam pembelajaran bahasa Korea khususnya dalam aspek berbicara. This study is based on the phenomenon of people who want to learn Korean, especially in a self-educated manner, where they do not learn formally or informally, but independently. The purpose is to see the effect of using short Korean language learning videos on social media for self-educated learners, and see if there is an improvement after the application of short videos in learning. The object of the study was 20 students of UKM Hallyu. The method used was descriptive quantitative using a pre-experiment research method with data collection techniques using pretest and posttest, as well as observation and interview. The results showed that the average value of students during the pretest was 72.875 which was in the sufficient category, and the average value after the posttest was 83.5 which was categorized as excellent. In addition, the results of hypothesis testing using the t-test with a significance level of 5% obtained t-count (11.290) > t-table (2.093). So, Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. The results of observations and interviews show that the application of short videos has an effect on Korean speaking skills where speaking skills improve after being given treatment compared to before. This study is expected to be taken into consideration to apply short video media in Korean language learning, especially in the aspect of speaking. 본 연구는 한국어를 특히 독학으로 습득하려는 개인들이 형식적이거나 비공식적인 교육이 아닌 독립적인 학습 방식을 채택하는 경향을 중심으로 하고 있다. 연구의 목적은 독학 학습자를 대상으로 진행된 짧은 한국어 학습 동영상의 소셜 미디어 영향을 조사하고, 해당 동영상을 활용하여 학습의 효과를 확인하는 것이다. 연구 대상은 한류 클럽 학생 20 명으로 구성되었으며, 자료 수집 방법으로는 사전 검사와 사후 검사, 관찰 및 인터뷰를 활용한 사전 실험 연구 방법이 적용되었다. 사전 검사 결과, 학생들의 평균 점수는 72.875로 충분한 범주에 속했으나, 사후 검사 이후에는 83.5로 우수한 범주에 분류되었다. 이에 대한 가설 검증 결과는 유의 수준 5%에서의 t-검정에서 t-count (11.290)가 t-table (2.093)보다 크게 나타났다. 따라서 Ho (귀무가설)는 기각되고 Ha (대립가설)는 채택되었다. 관찰 및 인터뷰 결과는 짧은 동영상의 적용이 치료를 받은 후 이전보다 말하기 능력이 향상된 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 특히 한국어 학습에서 말하기 측면에서 짧은 동영상 매체의 적용이 효과적일 수 있다는 가능성을 시사한다.
