Summary:Penelitian bertujuan untuk menguji efikasi bimbingan kelompok dengan pendekatan person center untuk mengembangkan self-compassion peserta didik. penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen quasi, desain pretest-posttest non-equivalent group. Penelitian melibatkan peserta didik kelas X di SMA Negeri 2 Subang Tahun Ajaran 2023/2024 sebagai populasi penelitian. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 14 orang yang dibagi ke dalam kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan membagikan instrument self-compassion yang telah diuji rasional serta empiris, sedangkan teknik analisi data menggunakan uji Mann Whitney U Test dan uji N Gain. Pelaksanaan bimbingan kelompok dengan pendekatan person center dinilai berefikasi dalam mengembangkan self-compassion peserta didik dengan nilai N Gain sebesar 64% yang berarti berada pada kategori cukup berefikasi. Uji Mann Whitney U Test menunjukkan rata-rata skor kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol mempunyai perbedaan yang signifikan sebesar 0.004. Hasil penelitian dapat dijadikan rujukan bagi guru bimbingan dan konseling dalam memberikan layanan bimbingan kelompok dengan pendekatan person center kepada peserta didik untuk mengembangkan self-compassion. This study aimed to test the efficacy of group guidance with person-centered approach to develop students' self-compassion. The pretest-posttest nonequivalent group quasi-experimental design type of quantitative approach was used for this study. The study involved students of Class X of State Senior High School 2 Subang of the academic year of 2023/2024 as the population of the study. The sample was 14 individuals divided into an experimental group and a control group. Data were collected by distributing the self-compassion instrument which had been rationally and empirically tested. The data were then analyzed using the Mann Whitney U Test and N Gain Test. Group guidance with person-centered approach was considered effective in developing the students' self-compassion with the N Gain value of 64%, which puts it in the category of fairly effective. The Mann Whitney U Test produced average scores that are significantly different between the experimental group and the control group with a value of 0.004. The results of the study can become a reference for guidance and counseling teachers in giving group guidance service with person-centered approach to students to develop their self-compassion.
