Description
This study aims to provide an overview regarding the basic locomotor movement skills of elementary school students during the Covid-19 pandemic. The survey was conducted on 154 elementary school students in grades 3 and 4 aged 8-10 years. Data were observed with instruments locomotor movement skills developed by (Gallahue & Donnelly, 2007). Related locomotor skills include running, jumping forward (horizontal jumping), jumping from a height. and jumping on one leg (hopping). The researcher concluded that the motor skills stage of elementary school students grades 3 and 4 at the laboratory school elementary school during the pandemic showed that students had initial stage movement skills, namely 5% for the running test, 15% for the horizontal jumping test, 18% for the jumping from a height test and hopping test by 19%. Then for the transition stage (elementary stage) there are 55% for the running test, 51% for horizontal jumping, 57% for jumping from a height test and 53% for the hopping test. For students who are already in the mature stage, namely 40% for running, 34% for horizontal jumping, 25% for jumping from a height test and hopping tests by 28%.
