Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi dari anggapan bahwa teknik pembelajaran treffinger merupakan teknik pembelajaran yang dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa, sehingga perlu diterapkan dalam proses belajar mengajar. Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini berdasarkan kenyataan yang ditemukan dilapangan menunjukan bahwa dalam proses pembelajaran lebih berpusat kepada guru (teacher center) dan tidak melibatkan siswa aktif dalam proses pembelajaran. Hingga pada akhirnya siswa pasif dan tidak kreatif. Salah satu upaya untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa yaitu dengan menerapkan teknik pembelajaran treffinger. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk melihat pengaruh teknik pembelajaran treffinger terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif dalam mata pelajaran ekonomi pada siswa kelas X SMAK 3 Bina Bakti dan siswa kelas X SMAN 1 Parongpong Bandung Tahun Ajaran 2013/2014. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen kuasi yang dilakukan terhadap siswa kelas X SMAK 3 Bina Bakti yang terdiri dari 26 siswa kelas eksperimen dan 25 kelas kontrol. Kelas X SMAN 1 Parongpong yang terdiri dari 30 siswa kelas eksperimen dan 29 kelas kontrol. Data penelitian dikumpulkan melalui tes tertulis (pretes dan postest), soal essay berjumlah 6 soal. Setelah dilakukan analisis data menggunakan uji univariate hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa : (1) Terdapat perbedaan kemampuan berpikir kreatif antara siswa yang menggunakan teknik pembelajaran treffinger lebih tinggi dibanding dengan siswa yang menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional; (2) Terdapat perbedaan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa antara SMAK 3 Bina Bakti dengan SMAN 1 Parongpong yang menggunakan teknik pembelajaran treffinger; (3) Tidak terdapat pengaruh interaksi antara jenis sekolah dengan teknik pembelajaran yang digunakan dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa. Kata Kunci : Teknik Pembelajaran Treffinger, Berpikir Kreatif This research is motivated from the assumption that the learning techniques Treffinger is learning techniques that can improve the ability of creative berpiki students, so it needs to be applied in teaching and learning. The problem in this study is based on data that was collected in the field show that the learning process is more teacher-centered and does not involve students actively in the learning process. Until in the end the students passive and not creative. One effort to improve students' ability to think creatively is to apply learning techniques Treffinger. This study was conducted to see the effect on the ability of learning techniques Treffinger creative thinking in economic subjects in class X SMAK Bina Bakti 3 and class X students of SMAN 1 Bandung Parongpong Academic Year 2013/2014. This study used a quasi-experimental methods are performed on class X SMAK Bina Bakti 3 consisting of experimental class of 26 students and 25 classroom control. Class X SMAN 1 Parongpong consisting of experimental class of 30 students and 29 classroom control. Data were collected through a written test (pretest and posttest), totaling 6 essay questions. After analyzing the data using univariate test results showed that: (1) There is a difference between creative thinking ability of students to use learning techniques Treffinger higher than the students who used conventional learning; (2) There is a difference between the students' ability to think creatively SMAK Bina Bakti 3 SMAN 1 Parongpong that uses Treffinger learning techniques; (3) There is no interaction effect between type of school with learning techniques are used to enhance the students' ability to think creatively.
