This article aims to find out the competence of the French language basic writing skills high school students after using media of Picture-Story. Then, this research aims to describe the steps in implementing the Picture-Story media for learning to write basic French language in high school, and then this research aims to know the advantages and disadvantages of Picture-Story media. The methods used in this research are pre-experimental method by using one-shot case study design which conducted experiments to a group without a comparison group. Data collection techniques used is literature studies, tests, questionnaires, and observation. The assessment used in this research refers to CECRL assessment with DELF A1 level. Based on the results of the research, the researchers were able to conclude that the ability of the students after treatments and tests show that students have been able to write a descriptive paragraph. The existence of the study expected students can improve writing skills, particularly writing descriptive paragraphs and can be one of the reference materials for the teacher of the French language which applicated in school. Penulisan artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar tingkat penguasaan keterampilan menulis bahasa Perancis dasar siswa SMA sesudah menggunakan media Picture-Story. Selain itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan langkah-langkah dalam menerapkan media Picture-Story untuk pembelajaran menulis bahasa Perancis tingkat dasar di SMA, serta untuk mengetahui kelebihan dan kekurangan media Picture-Story dalam pembelajaran menulis bahasa Perancis tingkat dasar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode pra-eksperimental dengan menggunakan desain penelitian one shot case study yaitu eksperimen yang dilakukan kepada satu kelompok tanpa kelompok pembanding. Sedangkan teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu studi pustaka, tes, angket, dan observasi. Penilaian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini merujuk kepada penilaian CECRL tingkat DELF A1. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, peneliti dapat menyimpulkan bahwa kemampuan siswa setelah melalui tahap perlakuan (treatment) dan tes menunjukkan bahwa siswa telah mampu menulis paragraf deskriptif dengan baik. Dengan adanya penelitian ini diharapkan siswa dapat meningkatkan keterampilan menulis, khususnya menulis paragraf deskriptif dan dapat menjadi salah satu referensi bahan ajar bagi pengajar bahasa Perancis yang diaplikasikan pada mata pelajaran bahasa Perancis di sekolah menengah atas.
