Summary

Penggunaanhandphonepada peserta didik SMA Negeri di Kota Bogor memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap gayahidup dengan besarnya pengaruh sebesar 45%, sedangkan sisanya 55% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain yang tidak diteliti. Dengan menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif dalam penelitian dimaksudkan untuk memperoleh gambaran dan mencari jawaban secara mendasar tentang masalah. Peserta didik yang menggunakan handphonedengan berbagai kecanggihannya saat inimerupakan salah satu contoh yang diperoleh dari adanya iklan dan pengaruh lingkungan pergaulan yang memaksa mereka harus menggunakan barang tersebut agar bisa dianggap modern. Munculnya Handphonedi Indonesia memunculkan pola perilaku dan menimbulkan gaya hidup dikalangan peserta didik kuhusnya di Sekolah Menengah Atas di kota Bogor yang merupakan objek dari penelitian ini. Kebiasaan peserta didik dalam menggunakan fitur-fitur handphoneyang menghabiskan banyak waktu dan uang menjadi suatu gaya hidup tersendiri bagi peserta didik pengguna handphone. Gaya hidup peserta didik di Sekolah Menengah Atas di kota Bogor yang kaitanya dengan penggunaan handphone pada kenyataanya dilapangan mengarah pada perilaku konsumtif dengan indikasi munculnya sikap lebih boros, selalu ingin memiliki barang yang sedang trend dikalangan nya. Gaya hidup pada penelitian ini juga berimplikasi pada mata pelajaran sosiologi pada materi globalisasi dan modernisasi. Masuknya teknologi handphonemerupakan salah satu produk dari budaya massa dan budaya popular yang ada sebagai dampak modernisasi dan globalisasi. Kata Kunci: Penggunaan Handphone, Peserta didik Sekolah Menengah Atas,Gaya Hidup,Perilaku Konsumtif. The Impact of The use of Handphone in highschool students' in Bogor influences their lifstyle significantly. The percentage is 45% while another 55% is because another effect which is not examined. This research uses descriptive method which is designed to get the description and to find the fundamental answer of the problem. Highschool students as the users of this sophisticated technology are the example of ad victim and the effect of their environments which insist them to use handphone so they can be considered as new-fashion people. The emergence of handphone in Indonesia brings out the behavior and affects the teenagers' lifestyle especially in Sekolah Menengah Atas Bogor which is the object of this research. The students' habits in using handphone's features really waste time and money. Students' lifestyle in Sekolah Menengah Atas Bogor which is related to the use of handphone leads into consumptive behavior with indication they tend to have more wastefull attitude and always want to have the newest trendy things. This lifestyle also impacts Sociology subject in Globalization and Modenization materials. The appearance of handphone is one of mass and popular culture as the impact ofof the globalization and modernization products.
