Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh menurunnya harga saham pada PT. Bentoel Internasional Investama Tbk periode triwulan 2007-2012. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran profitabilitas yang diukur dengan Return On Equity (ROE), nilai pasar yang diukur dengan Price Earning Ratio (PER) dan harga saham pada PT. Bentoel Internasional Investama Tbk. Serta bagaimana pengaruh profitabilitas dan nilai pasar terhadap harga saham. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif dan verifikatif dengan desain penelitian kausal. Data yang digunakan adalah data sekunder. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah laporan keuangan dalam bentuk triwulan periode 2007-2012 PT. Bentoel Internasional Investama Tbk yang berisi tentang Return On Equity (ROE), Price Earning Ratio (PER) dan harga saham. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif dan analisis statistik. Analisis statistik yang digunakan terdiri dari uji asumsi klasik dan analisis regresi linier berganda serta dilakukan pengujian hipotesis uji T. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa profitabilitas tidak memiliki pengaruh terhadap harga saham. Sedangkan nilai pasar memiliki pengaruh terhadap harga saham. This research is based on the decreasing of stock prices in PT. BentoelInternasionalInvestamaTbk2007-2012 quarter period. The purpose of this researchwas to find out the description of profitability which is measured byReturn On Equity (ROE), the description of market value which is measured byPrice Earning Ratio (PER) and the description of stock pricesin PT. BentoelInternasional Investama Tbk. And to find out the influence profitability and market valuetowards stock prices. This method usedin this research was descriptive and verifikative methods withcausal research as the design. The data used were secondary data. This research used the samples of the company's financial quarter reports in 2007-2012, inPT. BentoelInternasionalInvestamaTbkwhich containof Return On Equity (ROE), Price Earning Ratio (PER) and Stock Prices. The tecqniques used to analyze the data were descriptive analysis and statistic analysis. Statisticanalysis used consist of classical assumption test and multiple linier regression analysis where the hypothesis tested T. The result of this research showed, that profitability (ROE) has not influence on stock prices. Meanwhile the market values (PER) has influence on stock prices.
