Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetehui adanya pengaruh bubuk rimpang temu mangga (Curcuma amada) dalam upaya perbaikan berat badan dan kadar lipid darah pada mencit (Mus musculus) jantan penderita hiperlipidemia. Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan lima kali pengulangan dan lima perlakuan (Kontrol negatif, kontrol positif, 7,5 mg/30 g bb/hari; 15 mg/30 g bb/hari; 22,5 mg/30 g bb/hari) digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Mencit jantan usia empat bulan diberi perlakuan temu mangga (Curcuma amada) dengan cara gavage selama 30 hari setelah sebelumnya diaklimasi selama 15 hari dan diberikan pakan tambahan tinggi lemak. Pada hari ke-31 mencit diambil darahnya dan dilakukan pengujian kadar lipid darah menggunakan metode CHOD-PAP, GPO-PAP, dan Formula Friedwald. Hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan menyatakan bahwa pemberian temu mangga (Curcuma amada) sejumlah 7,5 mg/30g BB/hari hingga 22,5 mg/30g BB/hari berpengaruh menurunkan kadar lipid darah terutama pada penurunan kadar trigliserida dengan dosis 22,5 mg/30g BB/hari (122.42 mg/dL ± 4.10) dan LDL pada dosis yang sama (13.02mg/dL ± 0.78), serta menaikkan kadar HDLpada dosis 15 mg/30 g BB/hari (132.59mg/dL ± 9.52). Efek hipotrigliseridemik ini terjadi dengan adanya zat aktif antihipgliseridemik dalam bubuk temu mangga (Curcuma amada) sepertiterpenoid dan kurkumin. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemberian temu mangga (Curcuma amada) dapat menurunkan kadar lipid darah pada mencit. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of rhizome mango ginger (Curcuma amada) in order to improve body weight and blood lipid levels in mice (Mus musculus) male patients with hyperlipidemia. Complete Randomized Draft (CRD) with five replications and five treatments (negative control, positive control, 7.5 mg / 30 g bw / day; 15 mg / 30 g bw / day; 22.5 mg / 30 g bw / day ) used in this study. Four months old male mice were treated mango ginger (Curcuma amada) by means of gavage for 30 days after 15 days acclimatization and given additional food high in fat. On day 31, mice have blood drawn and tested blood lipid levels using CHOD-PAP, GPO-PAP, and Friedwald formula. The results of the research that has been done stating that giving mango ginger (Curcuma amada) 7.5 mg / 30g bw / day to 22.5 mg / 30g bw / day effect of reducing blood lipid levels mainly to a decrease in triglyceride levels with doses of 22.5 mg / 30g bw / day (122.42 mg / dL ± 4.10) and LDL at the same dose (13.02mg / dL ± 0.78), and raise HDL levels in a dose of 15 mg / 30 g BW / day (132.59mg / dL ± 9:52) . Hipotrigliseridemik effect occurs in the presence of the active substance in a retrieval antihipgliseridemik mango ginger (Curcuma amada) as terpenoids and curcumin.
