Instrumenpenelitianberupaperangkatteskemampuanargumentasi yang berbentukuraiandanlembarobservasiaktivitassiswadanaktivitas guru.Hasilpenelitianmenunjukanbahwapembelajaran IPA-fisikamelalui model pembangkitargumenmenggunakanmetodeinvestigasisainslebihefektifmeningkatkankemampuanargumentasisiswadibandingkandenganpembelajaran IPA-fisikamelalui model konvensional (direct instruction).Model pembangkitargumenmenggunakanmetodeinvestigasisainsdirekomendasikanuntukdipertimbangkansebagaisalahsatu model pembelajaranuntuk IPA-fisika di kelas. This study was motivated by the lack of students' argumentation skills in science learning at a Junior High School in Bandung City. The purpose of the study was to test the effectiveness model of arguments using science investigation method to enhance students' argumentation skills. The research method used in the study was quasi-experiment with static group pre-test and post-test design. The sample of the study was two classes of 9th grade students of a Junior High School in Bandung City which taken as an experiment class and a control class through purposive sampling technique. The instrument of the study was a set of argumentation skills test in the form of essay test and students and teacher activities observation sheet. The study results that the science learning implemented with model of arguments using science investigation method was more effective than the science learning with the conventional model (direct instruction). Therefore model of arguments using science investigation method is recommended as a learning model in learning science within classroom.
