Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini didasari pada hasil produksi industri jeans di Kecamatan Kutawaringin Kabupaten Bandung dalam tiga bulan produksi terakhir di Tahun 2013 cenderung mengalami penurunan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui apakah penggunaan faktor-faktor produksi pada proses produksi celana jeans dan jaket jeans diKecamatan Kutawaringin Kabupaten Bandung telah mencapai efisiensi optimum dan untuk mengetahui bagaimana tingkat skala produksi (Returns to Scale) pada proses produksi celana jeans dan jaket jeans di Kecamatan Kutawaringin Kabupaten Bandung. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu seluruh pengusaha industri jeans di Kecamatan Kutawaringin Kabupaten Bandung yang berjumlah sebanyak 30 pengusaha dan sampel yang diambil sebanyak 30 pengusaha, sebagai sensus. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian deskriptif analitik dengan teknis analisis data menggunakan model fungsi Cobb-Douglas. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan faktor produksi modal, tenaga kerja, kain jeans, proses pewarnaan jeans, benang, kancing dan resleting tidak mencapai optimum. Untuk mencapai efisiensi optimum pengusaha perlu melakukan strategi pengurangan atau penambahan dalam penggunaan faktor-faktor produksi sehingga hasil produksi celana jeans dan jaket jeans dapat meningkat dan dengan tingkat penggunaan faktor produksi yang optimum. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, skala produksi pada industri jeans berada pada tahap Decreasing returns to scale. Ini menunjukkan bahwa proporsi penambahan masukan produksi melebihi proporsi penambahan produksi. Kata Kunci : Efisiensi, faktor produksi, hasil produksi celana jeans dan jaket jeans Problems in this study based on the results of industrial production jeans in District Kutawaringin Bandung regency in the last three months of production in 2013 tended to decrease. The purpose of this study is to determine whether the use of factors of production in the production process of jeans and jeans jacket in district Kutawaringin Bandung regency has reached optimum efficiency and to find out how to scale the level of production (Returns to Scale) in the production process of jeans and jeans jacket in Kutawaringin districts of Bandung regency. Population in this research that all entrepreneurs jeans industry in the District of Bandung Regency Kutawaringin numbering as many as 30 employers and a sample taken 30 employers, as the census. The research method used was a descriptive analytical research methods of technical analysis of the data using the model of Cobb-Douglas function. Results of this study indicate that the use of production factors of capital, labor, jeans fabric, denim dyeing process, thread, buttons and zippers are not achieving optimum. To achieve optimum efficiency strategies employers should conduct a reduction or increase in the use of factors of production so that the production of jeans and jeans jacket can be increased and the level of optimum utilization of production factors. Based on the results of the research, industrial-scale production of the jeans are at a stage Decreasing returns to scale. This shows that the proportion of the addition of production inputs exceeds the proportion of additional production.
