Summary:The purpose of the study are (1) Describe teacher's planning in learning to improve listening and speaking abilities through film as audio visual media. (2) Describe the implementation of the teacher in the learning to improve the ability of listening and speaking through film as audio visual media. (3) Describe students' learning outcomes of listening and speaking skills through film as audio visual media. The method used in this research was the Research Action Class (PTK) which adapted Kemmis & Mc's model. Taggart (Kusumah & Dwitagama). The results of the research using film as audio visual media on learning Bahasa Indonesia showed an improvement in the learning process, especially in listening and speaking, that can be seen from the improvement of every skill of listening and speaking skills, the average value of listening of students in cycle I is 60.88, then in the cycle II is 71.57, and cycle III is 87,57. As well in the speaking skills of students In cycle I, 11.76% have an ability to speak well. In cycle II, 45% have an ability to talk well. In cycle III it significantly improve, 84.85% have an ability to speak well. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah (1) Mendeskripsikan perencanaan guru dalam pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menyimak dan berbicara melalui media audio visual film. (2) Mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan guru dalam pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menyimak dan berbicara melalui media audio visual film. (3) Mendeskripsikan hasil pembelajaran siswa tentang keterampilan menyimak dan berbicara melalui media audio visual film. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang mengadaptasi model Kemmis & Mc. Taggart (Kusumah&Dwitagama). Hasil penelitian dengan menggunakan media audio visual film pada pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia menunjukkan adanya peningkatan proses pembelajaran khususnya dalam menyimak dan berbicara, terlihat adanya peningkatan dari setiap siklusnya baik keterampilan menyimak ataupun keterampilan berbicara, nilai rata-rata menyimak siswa pada siklus I yaitu 60,88, kemudian siklus II menjadi 71,57, dan siklus III menjadi 87,57. Begitu juga dalam keterampilan berbicara siswa Pada siklus I, 11,76% yang kemampuan bicara baik. Pada siklus II, 45% kemampuan bicara baik. Pada siklus III mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan yaitu 84,85% yang kemampuan bicaranya baik. Kata Kunci: Media audio visual film, keterampilan menyimak, keterampilan berbicara
