Bumi Perkemahan Kiara Payung merupakan kawasan wisata alam yang terdapat di Kecamatan Sukasari Kabupaten Sumedang, Jawa Barat, memiliki fungsi utama sebagai pusat perkemahan juga memiliki potensi alam seperti udara yang sangat sejuk, pemandangan yang indah, vegetasi yang beragam dan hal tersebut membuat bergesernya fungsi utama yang tidak hanya sebagai perkemahan saja tetapi sebagai fungsi wisata yang menawarkan berbagai aktivitas wisata yang dapat dilakukan oleh para wisatawan. Oleh karena itu kawasan ini perlu dikembangkan dalam kegiatan pariwisata yang bermanfaat untuk pengembangan kualitas hidup secara berkelanjutan dan dibutuhkan konsep pembangunan yang berkelanjutan serta berpedoman pada prinsip Ekowisata. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengidentifikasi ekowisata yang ada di lapangan, potensi ekowisata yang dapat dikembangkan, menganalisis cara mengembangkan ekowisata dan membuat konsep zonasi yang sesuai dengan Bumi Perkemahan Kiara Payung. Dalam penelitian ini peneliti menggunakan metode deskriptif analisis dengan pendekatan mix method. Data dan informasi Bumi Perkemahan Kiara Payung diperoleh dari data primer dan sekunder. Metode analisis data menggunakan Design Process at the site level dari buku Recreation Planning And Design. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu bahwa kawasan ini memiliki potensi ekowisata yang dapat dikembangkan sesuai dengan kondisi yang terjadi dilapangan, pengembangan ekowisata yang dapat dikembangkan antara lain seperti adanya fasilitas piknik, sarana penginapan untuk wisatawan, guide dari masyarakat lokal, wisata tanam pohon, papan informasi, pos p3k, tempat sampah, jalan khusus walktrack, pengenalan flora dan fauna, toko souvernir. Selain itu, dalam penelitian ini juga menghasilkan peta konsep zonasi yang sesuai dengan Bumi Perkemahan Kiara Payung sehingga pengembangan yang dihasilkan dapat diletakan pada zona yang terdapat pada peta zonasi tersebut. Pengembangan ekowisata sebaiknya mengacu pada hasil identifikasi permasalahan dalam pengembangan ekowisata serta pada tujuannya. Kata Kunci : Bumi Perkemahan, Pengembangan Ekowisata, Pembangunan Berkelanjutan, Konsep Zonasi Bumi Perkemahan Kiara Payung is a natural tourist area located in Sukasari District, Sumedang Regency, West Java, which has the main function as the camping center. It also has natural potentials, such as a very cool air, beautiful scenery, diverse vegetation which have made the shift of key functions, not only as the camp alone, but as a tourism function as well that offers a variety of activities that can be done by the tourists. Therefore, this area should be developed in tourism activities that are beneficial for the sake of quality life deveopment in a sustainable manner and it takes the concept of sustainable development and the guidance of ecotourism principles. The purpose of this study was to identify ecotourism fields, ecotourism potential to be developed, to analyze how to develop ecotourism and make the concept of zoning in accordance with Bumi Perkemahan Kiara Payung. In this study, researchers used a descriptive analysis method with mixed method approach. Data and information about Bumi Perkemahan Kiara Payung were obtained from primary and secondary data. Methods of data analysis used the Design Process at the site level derived from the book Recreation Planning And Design. The results of this study showed that this region has the potential of ecotourism that can be developed in accordance with the conditions that occur in the field. The development of eco-tourism which can be developed, among others, such as the picnic facilities, the lodging facilities for tourists, the guidance from local community, the tree planting tourism, the information boards, the first aid kid post, the trashes, the walktrack special ways, the introduction of flora and fauna, the souvenir shops. In addition, this research also generated the maps of zoning concept in accordance with Bumi Perkemahan Kiara Payung, so that the development produced can be placed in zones contained in the zoning map. Ecotourism development should refer to the identification of problems in the development and purpose of ecotourism.
