Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh keberadaan Webpac sebagai alat telusur utama di Perpustakaan ITB dalam memenuhi kebutuhan informasi pemustaka. Penelitian ini secara umum dilakukan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara penggunaan Webpac dengan pemenuhan kebutuhan informasi pemustaka di UPT Perpustakaan ITB. Sedangkan secara khusus penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) Mengetahui deskripsi penggunaan Webpac di UPT Perpustakaan ITB; 2) Mengetahui deskripsi kebutuhan informasi pemustaka UPT Perpustakaan ITB. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian deskriptif korelasional dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Sedangkan teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah dengan penyebaran angket, observasi, wawancara, dan studi kepustakaan. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh mahasiswa ITB yang masih aktif menggunakan Perpustakaan ITB, dan diambil sampel sebanyak 98 pemustaka. Pengolahan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan Microsoft Office Excel 2013 dan IBM SPSS Statistics 20. Data diolah dengan menggunakan rumus uji korelasi Rank Spearman. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat diambil kesimpulan bahwa: 1) terdapat hubungan antara penggunaan Webpac dengan pemenuhan kebutuhan informasi pemustaka di UPT Perpustakaan Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) dengan kategori hubungannya sedang, dengan tingkat hubungan antara keduanya signifikan; 2) Penggunaan Webpac di Perpustakaan ITB oleh pemustaka tujuan utamanya adalah untuk memperoleh informasi ketersediaan koleksi dan untuk memperoleh informasi bibliografi koleksi yang dibutuhkan pemustaka. Penggunaan Webpac di Perpustakaan ITB juga mudah digunakan oleh pemustaka, sehingga memungkinkan pemustaka menelusur secara mandiri tanpa bantuan orang lain termasuk pustakawan.; 3) Webpac sangat membantu memenuhi kebutuhan informasi rutin dan kebutuhan informasi mutakhir pemustaka. This study was motivated by the presence of Webpac as the main search engine tool in ITB Library to fulfill the users needs of information. Generally, the research was conducted to figure out the relationships between Webpac usage and information fulfillment of users in the library of Bandung Institute of Technology. Meanwhile, specifically this research aims to: 1) Find out Webpac usage description in the library; 2) Recognize the description of information needs of ITB's users. The methodology used in this study is the descriptive correlational research method with quantitative approach. The data collection was done through questionnaire, observation, interview, and literature study. The population of the study is all ITB students who visit the library and the sample is 98 users. The data management was processed by Microsoft Office Excel 2013 and IBM SPSS Statistics 20. The data were processed with correlation test formula Rank Spearman. From the findings, it can be concluded that: 1) there are relationships between Webpac usage and information fulfillment of the users, where the category of the relationships is average and the degree of relationships is significant; 2) the main goal of Webpac usage is for knowing information about collections availability and information about bibliography of the collections that the users want. Besides, Webpac seems to be easily used by the users, so that the librarian assistance is unnecessary; 3) Webpac very helps the users fulfill current information needs and everyday information needs.
