Summary:Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan keterampilan metakognitif dan berpikir kritis siswa SMA melalui pembelajaran menggunakan multimedia interaktif kesetimbangan kimia. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menerapkan Metode Penelitian dan Pengembangan Pendidikan dan Quasi Eksperimen. Pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dilakukan dalam pengembangan multimedia interaktif kesetimbangan kimia dan keterampilan metakognitif. Informasi mengenai berpikir kritis diperoleh melalui pendekatan kuantitatif. Pada pengujian multimedia interaktif diterapkan The one-group pretest-postest design. Penelitian dilakukan di salah satu SMA X Kabupaten Cirebon Jawa Barat. Sebagai subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas sebelas program IPA, sebanyak 28 siswa. Pengumpulan data keterampilan metakognitif menggunakan Metacognitive Awareness Inventory (MAI), sedangkan berpikir kritis dengan menggunakan butir soal pilihan ganda yang berkaitan dengan konten materi pembelajaran. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa multimedia interaktif untuk pembelajaran kesetimbangan kimia dikembangkan berdasarkan pembelajaran berbasis komputer dengan model tutorial. Keterampilan metakognitif dan berpikir kritis siswa SMA mengalami perkembangan pada pembelajaran topik kesetimbangan kimia menggunakan multimedia interaktif. Perkembangan keterampilan metakognitif paling besar terjadi pada strategi debugging yang mencapai 87,86% dan paling kecil terjadi pada evaluasi dengan tingkat perkembangan 71,43%. Sedangkan berpikir kritis meningkat dengan nilai N-gain rata-rata sebesar 0,64. Hasil analisis statistik menunjukkan adanya peningkatan berpikir kritis secara nyata dengan taraf signifikansi (α) sebesar 0,000. Peningkatan paling tinggi terjadi pada indikator kemampuan mencari persamaan dan perbedaan dengan nilai N-Gain 0,75 atau kategori tinggi. Sedangkan kemampuan memberi alasan menunjukkan peningkatan yang paling rendah dengan nilai N-gain 0,53 atau kategori sedang. The study was conducted in one of the SMA X Cirebon West Java. As the subjects were students in the eleventh grade science program, as many as 28 students. Data collection metacognitive skills using metacognitive Awareness Inventory (MAI), while critical thinking by using multiple choice items relating to the content of learning materials. Based on the results of this study concluded that interactive multimedia learning chemical equilibrium was developed based on the model of computer-based learning tutorials. Metacognitive and critical thinking skills of high school students had been developed on the topic of chemical equilibrium learning using interactive multimedia. The development of metacognitive skills most likely in debugging strategies which reached 87.86% and the smallest occurred in the evaluation of the level of development of 71.43%. While critical thinking increases with the value of the N-gain average of 0.64. Statistical analysis showed a significantly increase critical thinking with a significance level (α) of 0.000. The increase is highest in the indicator ability to find similarities and differences with the N-gain value of 0.75 or higher category. While the ability to give reasons showed the lowest increase in the value of the N-gain 0.53 or medium category.
