Pendidikan merupakan salah satu faktor dalam mencapai status sosial ekonomi yang tinggi, selain itu ada faktor pekerjaan, pendapatan, dan pemilikan. Setiap masyarakat mempunyai ukuran tertentu untuk menghargai hal-hal tertentu yang ada dalam masyarakat tersebut. Masyarakat akan menghargai sesuatu lebih tinggi atau lebih rendah tergantung bagaimana masyarakat menilai sesuatu. Kebutuhan sehari-hari yang semakin banyak dan mahal membuat masyarakat menjadi lebih memikirkan masalah ekonomi daripada pendidikan. Anak-anak pun dituntut orang tua untuk membantu memenuhi kebutuhan sehari-hari. Perhatian orang tua terhadap pendidikan pun menjadi berkurang. Hal tersebutlah yang terjadi pada masyarakat Perbutulan. Banyaknya anak-anak yang tidak melanjutkan pendidikan ke jenjang yang lebih tinggi, karena lebih memilih mencari uang dengan cara bekerja di konveksi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian deskriptif analitis dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Metode ini digunakan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh status sosial ekonomi keluarga terhadap pencapaian tingkat pendidikan anak. Dimana penguji akan menguji kebenaran hipotesis yang telah dibuat dengan cara menyebarkan angket kepada responden, mengolah data, serta menganalisis data yang telah diolah. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa hampir setengah (47,2%) masyarakat Perbutulan memiliki status sosial ekonomi dalam kategori sedang dengan skor rata-rata 71,78, dan setengah dari masyarakat Perbutulan yang bekerja di konveksi memiliki tingkat pendidikan dalam kategori sedang dengan skor rata-rata 56,4. Status sosial ekonomi memberikan pengaruh terhadap pencapaian tingkat pendidikan anak sebesar 15,37%. Hanya sebagian kecil faktor dalam status sosial ekonomi keluarga yang mempengaruhi pencapaian tingkat pendidikan anak Education is one of factor on reach the high socioeconomic status, besides that another factors are work, income, and ownership. Every society has their own measurement to respect something that exists in that society. Society will respect something higher or lower depend on how the society respect it. Daily needs of people getting higher and more expensive, this situation make the society think more about the economic problem than education. Children also be charged by the parents to help parents on fulfill the daily needs. Parent's attention to the education also decreasing. This is the problem that happens to the society in Perbutulan area. Children not continuing their education to the higher level because they prefer to finding money by working in convection. The method that used in this research is descriptive analytics research methodology with quantitative approach. This method used to find out how huge the influence of socioeconomic status on the family children's. The examiner wills testing the truth of the hypothesis that made by spread the questionnaire to the respondent, processing the data, and analyze the data that has been processed. Result of the research shows that around 47,2% society in Perbutulan area has the socioeconomic status on moderate category and the average score is 71,78 and half of the society of Perbutulan area who work in convection has the moderate education level with the average score is 56,4. Socioeconomic status influence the society to reach the education for the children around 15,37%. Just a little bit factor on socioeconomic status family that influence the achievement of children's education.
