Pengaruh Tingkat Kompetensi Kepribadian dan Kompetensi Sosial Guru Penjas SMP Negeri se Kota Pekanbaru Terhadap Pembentukan Karakter Siswa

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana tingkat kompetensi yang dimiliki guru penjas, terutama yang berkaitan dengan kompetensi kepribadian dan kompetensi sosial dan pengaruhnya terhadap pembentukan karakter siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode ex post facto. Adapun populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa yang berjumlah 8.658 orang yang berasal dari kelas VIII SMP Negeri se Kota Pekanbaru yang berasal dari 36 sekolah. Pengambilan sampel siswa, dari total populasi 8.658 orang yang tersebar di 36 sekolah SMP Negeri di Kota Pekanbaru, maka di tentukan dengan melakukan study observasi atau survey terlebih dahulu untuk menentukan sekolah mana yang akan dijadikan sampel penelitian, dengan cara mengetahui tingkatan dari variabel independentnya dalam hal ini kompetensi kepribadian dan kompetensi sosial guru yang merupakan bagian dari penelitian. Sekolah yang akan dijadikan sampel yaitu yang memiliki kompetensi kepribadian tinggi, kepribadian rendah dan kompetensi sosial tinggi, sosial rendah masing-masing diambil 2 sekolah. Karena jumlah siswa masing-masing sekolah tidak sama maka dilakukan simple random (acak sederhana), sehingga masing-masing sekolah berjumlah 25 orang siswa. Instrumen penelitian berupa skala kompetensi kepribadian, skala kompetensi sosial dan skala karakter siswa. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa terdapat pengaruh terhadap pembentukan karakter responsibility yang diakibatkan oleh perbedaan tingkat kompetensi dengan harga F sebesar 73,82 dengan signifikansi (Sig. Y1) 0,000 < 0,05. Dan juga terdapat pengaruh terhadap pembentukan karakter respect yang diakibatkan oleh perbedaan tingkat kompetensi dengan harga F sebesar 66,26 dengan signifikansi (Sig. Y2) 0,000 < 0,05. This research aims to understand the extent to which the level of competence owned physical educatin teachers, especially pertaining to competence of personality and social competence and their influence on the formation of character of students .This research using the quantitative approach with a method of ex post facto .Now the population in this study is of students who totaled 8.658 people who come from class viii junior high schools derived from 36 schools. The sample collection of students, of the total population 8.658 people spread over 36 junior high school land in pekanbaru, then in decided to conduct study observation or survey beforehand to determine which school to be the sample, with a knowing manner of a variable levels independentnya in this case the competence of personality and social competence teachers who is part of research. Schools will only sampled i.e. that has competence high personality, low personality and high social, low social competence, inferior social derived respectively 2 schools . Because the number of students each school not the same then done simple random (scrambled simple ), so that each school a total of 25 students. Research instruments competence in the form of scales personality competence, scale social competence and scale of character of students. Of research results obtained the conclusion that there is influence on the formation of the character of responsibility caused by the different levels of competence with the price of F 73,82 with a sig ( significance .Y1 ) 0,000 < 0.05 &. And there are also the effect on the character of respect it was reflected from a consequence of the difference in the competence with the price of F 66,26 with significance ( a sig .Y2 ) 0,000 < 0.05 .
