Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya hasil belajar siswa kelas IV di salah satu Sekolah Dasar Negeri di Kota Bandung dalam mata pelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial. Hal tersebut terlihat dari hasil belajar yang diperoleh siswa dalam pembelajaran IPS yang memiliki KKM 70, hanya dapat dicapai oleh sebesar 27% atau sebanyak 7 orang siswa saja dari keseluruhan jumlah siswa sebanyak 26 orang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mengetahui proses pembelajaran IPS dengan menerapkan teknik make a match untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa SD kelas IV dan (2) Mengetahui pengaruh penerapan teknik make a match pada pembelajaran IPS di kelas IV SD terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah model Kemmis dan Taggart dengan 3 siklus. Subjek penelitiannya adalah seluruh siswa kelas IV di salah satu Sekolah Dasar Negeri di Kota Bandung tahun pelajaran 2014-2015 dengan jumlah siswa 26 orang.. Hasil penelitian menujukkan hasil belajar yang diperoleh siswa pada siklus I meningkat dari tes pra siklus yaitu sebanyak 42% siswa yang mencapai KKM. Pada siklus II mengalami peningkatan kembali sebanyak 60% siswa yang mencapai KKM. Pada siklus III mengalami peningkatan yang paling besar yaitu sebanyak 80% siswa yang mencapai KKM. Dari hasil yang diperoleh, terbukti bahwa penerapan teknik make a match dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran IPS di Sekolah Dasar kelas IV. This research is motivated by the low learning outcomes of fourth grade students in one of elementary schools in Bandung in social science subject. It was seen from the results obtained by students in learning social science having standar of minimum completeness of 70, can only be achieved by 27% or as much as 7 students of the total number of 26 student. This research is aimed to (1) determine the learning process of social science subject by applying make a match techniques to improve student's learning outcomes of fourth grade students in elementary schools and (2) determine the influence of make a match technique application in learning process of social science subject of fourth grade students in elementary schools towards student's learning outcomes. Class Action Research used in this research is a model of Kemmis and Taggart with 3 cycles. The subject of the research is the entire fourth grade students of 2014-2015 school years in one of elementary schools in Bandung with the number of 26 students. The results show that the students learning outcomes obtained in the first cycle increased from pre-cycle test to 42% students. In the second cycle, it increased to 60% students. In the third cycle, it has the greatest increase to 80% students. From the results, it shows that the application of make a match technique can improve student's learning outcomes in social science subject in fourth grade students of elementary schools.
