Pernyataanpermasalahandiatasmerupakanindikasibahwakemampuandayaberpikirkreatifsiswamasih relative rendah.Melihatfenomenatersebut, perluditerapkanmediaphotography dalampembelajarandalam IPS untukmeningkatkandayaberpikirkreatifsiswa.Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakankelas dengan menerapkan media photography dalam pembelajaran IPS. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan daya berpikir kreatif siswa dalam pembelajaran IPS.Instrumen yang digunakanadalahlembarobservasiaktifitassiswadalam proses pembelajaran IPS berbasis photography dancatatanlapangan. Untuk pengumpulan data digunakan observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi, sedangkan dalam proses pengolahan data dan analisis data menggunakan kualitaif dan kuantitatif. Berdasarkan hasil akhir dari penelitian yang telah dilakukan, pertama pembelajaran dimulai dengan menentukan materi yang digunakan, yaitu materi tentang "Global warming" dan EkonomiKreatif. Keduapenerapanmedia photography dalampembelajaran IPSkepadasiswadenganmenggunakan model "Group Investigation" kelapangan. Penugasantersebutmelibatsekuruhsiswa yang dibentuksecarakelompokdanmempunyaitugasmemotret, mengobservasi, danmembuat album kreatif photographydalampembelajaran IPS, ketigadenganditerapkanya media photography darisiklus 1 sampaisiklus III tersebuttelahnampaksebuahpeningkatanberpikirsiswayaitupeningkatanberpikirkreatifsiswadenganditandaitercapainyasetiapindicator-indikatorberpikirkreatif.Keempatterdapatkendaladalampenerapan media photography iniyaitufasilitassekolah yang belummemadaidanmasihterbataskarenapenerapan media photography memerlukanfasilitas yang cukup ideal.makaupayauntukmengatasitersebutdeganmembentukkelompokkecil yang terdiridari 5-6 dansetiapkelompokkeciltersebut guru menyediakanfasilitassepertikamera, ataugadget yang ideal. Kesimpulanhasilpenelitiandarimulaisiklus 1 sampaisiklus 3 bahwapenerapan media photography initelahberhasilmeningkatkandayaberpikirkreatifsiswa di kelas VII.3 SMPN 16 Bandung.Saran bagi peneliti selanjutnya, agar dapat meneruskan penelitian ini dalam rangka meningkatkan daya berpikir kreatif siswa di sekolah, Kata Kunci :Berpikir Kreatif,Pembelajaran IPS, Media Photography The background of this research is based on the characters of students at VII-3 Class in 16 Junior High School Bandung. Most of students do not have independent ways of thinking, it can be seen from their less motivation to explore and elaborate their opinion. In addition, the students do not think in holistic way, or in other words, they cannot think in various aspects. This finding inversely proportional to IPS course that has various perspective in looking at an issue. Those problems is an indication of the low frequency of students' creative thinking. Based on the phenomenon above, an interesting media, which is photography used in this research in order to improve students' creative thinking with classroom action research as the methodology. Besides, the aims of this study is to improve the students' creative thinking in IPS course. The researcher uses two instruments in this research, those are observation sheets of students' activity in learning process, and field collecting. Furthermore, in collecting data, the researcher uses observation, interview, and study documentation. Next, in analysing the data, the researcher uses qualitative and quantitative method. There researcher do some steps in conducting this study. Firstly, the teacher chooses two topics in the classroom, those are "global warming" and "creative economy". Secondly, the researcher uses "group investigation" as a model toward the use photography as a media. Group investigation model requires the students to act several steps, those are; make a group, take several photos, observation, and create a creative photography album in IPS course. Then, thirdly, the application of photography as a media in cycle 1 to cycle 3 show an improvement of students' creative thinking. The finding shows that the students successfully reached every indicators in creative thinking way. Lastly, absolutely the application of photography media needs specific facility such as a camera. This creates a problem, because the school does not provide that facility. Based on that reason, the teacher should create smalls groups that consist of 5 to 6 students, then every group should provide camera or any gadget to facilitate themselves. Finally, the conclusion of this research show that the application of photography as a media is successfully improve the students' creative thinking at VII-3 in 16 Junior High School in Bandung. The researcher also gives recommendation for school and teachers to continue this method in order to improve students' creative thinking in the school.
