Summary:Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbandingan strategi pembelajaran aktif learning start with a question dengan question students have terhadap penguasaan konsep siswa SMA kelas X pada materi pencemaran lingkungan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasy eksperimental dengan desain penelitian non equivalent pretest posttest. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMA Negeri 7 Bandung tahun ajaran 2012/2013. Siswa yang menjadi subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X3 dan X10. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan berupa tes tertulis penguasaan konsep siswa dan angket respon siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa terdapat perbedaan penguasaan konsep yang signifikan antara kedua kelas ekperimen. Kelas yang menggunakan strategi pembelajaran aktif learning start with a question lebih unggul dibandingkan kelas yang menggunakan strategi pembelajaran aktif question students have. Peningkatan penguasaan konsep menunjukan perbedaan yang signifikan. N-gain kelas yang menggunakan strategi pembelajaran aktif learning start with a question 0,58 dan kelas yang menggunakan strategi pembelajaran aktif question students have 0,51. Peningkatan penguasaan konsep siswa dengan menggunakan kedua strategi pembelajaran tersebut termasuk kedalam kategori sedang. PengGunaan strategi pembelajaran aktif learning start with a question dan question students have mendapat tanggapan positif dari siswa. Kata Kunci : Strategi Pembelajaran Aktif Learning Start with A Question, Strategi Pembelajaran Aktif Question Students Have, Penguasaan konsep, Pencemaran Lingkungan The purposes of this research were to know comparison of active learning strategies learning start with a question with a question students have toward the concept mastery garade x of students at material environmental pollution. The research methods was a quasy experiment with non equivalent pretest posttest design. This research was implemented in SMA Negeri 7 Bandung academic year 2012/2013. The samples were from class X3 and class X10. The instrument in this research was used in the form of written test concept mastery of students and student questionnaire respons. The results of research showed that there were significant differences in the concept mastery of students between the two experimental classes. The class was used active learning strategies learning start with a question better than the class was used active learning strategies question students have. Improvement concept mastery of students showed that there were significant differences. N-gain the class was used active learning strategies learning start with a question was 0,58 and the class was used active learning strategies question students have was 0,51. The improvement concept mastery of students by using both learning strategies were included into the medium category.
