Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi, mendeskripsikan, dan menganalisis seberapa besar tingkat kesiapan siswa kelas XII Program Keahlian Teknik Kendaraan Ringan SMKN 8 Bandung untuk memasuki dunia kerja. Dilaksanakannya penelitian ini berdasarkan dari data lulusan Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) yang masih menjadi jumlah terbesar tingkat pengangguran terbuka dalam kurun waktu dua tahun terakhir dan penyerapan lulusan yang belum mencapai pada persentase idealnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan berupa angket. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di kelas XII Program Keahlian Teknik Kendaraan Ringan SMKN 8 Bandung semester ganjil tahun pelajaran 2015/2016. Pengukuran penelitian menggunakan skala pengukuran Guttman karena penelitian ini menuntut jawaban yang tegas dari responden. Hasil penelitian kesiapan kerja siswa sebesar 81,04 %, data ini menunjukkan bahwa kesiapan kerja siswa dalam kategori penafsiran data sebagian besar siswa memiliki kesiapan kerja berdasarkan pada faktor psikologis seseorang. ---------- This study aims to explore, describe, and analyze how much the level of readiness of students of class XII Lightweight Vehicle Engineering Program SMKN 8 Bandung to enter the working world. Implementation of this research is based on data from graduates of vocational schools (SMK), which is still the largest number of open unemployment rate within the last two years and the absorption of graduates who have not yet reached the ideal percentage. This research uses descriptive quantitative research design. The research instrument used in the form of a questionnaire. This study was conducted in class XII Lightweight Vehicle Engineering Program SMKN 8 Bandung semester of academic year 2015/2016. Measurement studies using Guttman measurement scale for this research requires a firm answer from the respondent. The result of research work of students readiness for 81.04%, these data suggest that the job readiness of students in the category of interpretation of the data the majority of students have a job readiness based on factors psychological.
