Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode pra-eksperimental dengan desain penelitian One Group Pretest-Posttest dengan sampel 20 orang mahasiswa kelas A, semester III Departemen Pendidikan Bahasa Perancis FPBS UPI. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes dan angket. Hasil pengolahan data tes menunjukkan nilai rata-rata prates sebesar 9,32 dan nilai rata-rata pascates sebesar 10,62. Dengan demikian, kemampuan menulis karangan narasi bahasa Perancis mahasiswa semester III mengalami peningkatan setelah diberikannya perlakuan dengan menggunakan video klip "Bidonville" karya S. Petit Nico. Selanjutnya, hasil perhitungan statistik diperoleh t hitung sebesar 6,5 dan dengan derajat kebebasan (db) 19 dari jumlah sampel (N) 20 dengan nilai signifikasi yang digunakan oleh peneliti sebesar 5%, diperoleh nilai t tabel sebesar 2,09, sehingga nilai t hitung > t tabel. Maka, hipotesis kerja (Hk) dalam penelitian ini dapat diterima. Dengan demikian, peneliti dapat menyimpulkan bahwa penggunaan media video klip "Bidonville" dianggap efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menulis karangan narasi bahasa Perancis mahasiswa semester III Departemen Pendidikan Bahasa Perancis FPBS UPI tahun akademik 2015/2016. Mengacu kepada hasil analisis angket, peneliti dapat menyimpulkan bahwa: (1) media video klip "Bidonville" karya S.Petit Nico dapat membuat pembelajaran menulis karangan narasi bahasa Prancis menjadi lebih menarik; (2) memudahkan mahasiswa dalam mengembangkan gagasan serta ide dalam menulis karangan narasi bahasa Perancis; dan (3) media video klip "Bidonville" dapat membantu mereka dalam meningkatkan kemampuan menulis karangan narasi bahasa Perancis. The aims of the study are: (1) to describe the writing skill of French narrative of the students in the third semester before and after the use of video clip "Bidonville", (2) to test the effectiveness of using video clip "Bidonville" as a media in learning writing of French narrative, and (3) to inform students' opinion of using video clip "Bidonville" as a media in learning writing of French narrative. The method used in this study is pre-experimental method with One Group Pretest-Posttest as a research design and twenty students of Class A in the third semester of Department of French Language Education in FPBS UPI as a sample. The result of data showed the average value of pre-test is 9.32 and the average value of post-test is 10.62. Therefore, the ability of writing French narrative of the students in the third semester increased after using the treatment of video clip "Bidonville" by S. Petit Nico. Furthermore, the result of statistical calculation obtained t count is 6.5 with a degree of freedom (db) of 19 and the number of samples (N) of 20 with a significance value used by the researcher of 5% and obtained the value of t table is 2.09, so that the value of t count > t table. Then, the working hypothesis (Hk) in this study can be accepted. Thus, the researcher can conclude that the use of video clip "Bidonville" as a media is considered effective to improve the writing skill in French narrative of the students in the third semester of Department of French Language Education in FPBS UPI academic year 2015/ 2016. Refer to the analysis of questionnaires, the researcher conclude that: (1) media of video clip "Bidonville" by S. Petit Nico make the learning process more interesting, (2) make the students are easier to develop their ideas in writing French narrative, and (3) video clip "Bidonville" can help the students improve the ability in writing French narrative.
