Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah rendahnya kemampuan analisis siswa di kelas X Sosial yang terlihat dari hasil test kemampuan analisis. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen semu, dengan subjek terdiri dari dua kelas yaitu kelas X Sosial satu sebagai kelas eksperimen dengan metode inkuiri dan kelas X Sosial dua sebagai kelas kontrol dengan metode konvensional. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan tes tertulis dalam bentuk soal pilihan ganda yang soalnya masuk katagori soal-soal analisis pada kompetensi dasar menganalisis masalah ekonomi dan cara mengatasinya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan kemampuan analisis siswa kelas eksperimen sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan metode inkuiri, terdapat perbedaan kemampuan analisis anatara kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan metode inkuiri dengan kelas kontrol yang menggunakan metode konvensional. Dari penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode inkuiri dapat meningkatkan kemampuan analisis siswa dibandingkan metode konvensional pada mata pelajaran ekonomi kelas X Sosial di SMA N 1 Lembang. --------- The problem in this research is the lack of analytical skills of students in class X Social seen from the test results analysis capabilities. The method used is a quasi-experimental methods, with the subject consists of two classes, namely Social tenth grade one as a class experiment with methods of inquiry and Social tenth grade two as grade control with conventional methods. Data collected by a written test in the form of multiple choice questions because entered the category questions analysis on the basis of competence to analyze economic problems and how to solve it. The results showed that there are differences in the experimental class students analytical skills before and after using the method of inquiry, there are differences in the ability of the analysis anatara experimental class that uses the methods of inquiry with the control class using conventional methods . From these studies it can be concluded that the inquiry method can improve students' analytical skills compared to the conventional method on economic subjects in Class X Social SMA N 1 Lembang.
