Summary

Regresi Generalized Poisson II merupakan suatu model regresi yang dapat digunakan untuk memodelkan bentuk hubungan antara variabel respon yang berbentuk data count dengan variabel prediktor. Regresi Generalized Poisson II merupakan perluasan dari regresi Poisson, di mana dalam regresi Poisson harus memenuhi asumsi mean sama dengan varians, namun regresi Generalized Poisson II dapat digunakan dalam kasus data yang mengalami varians lebih besar dari mean (overdispersi) atau varians lebih kecil dari mean (underdispersi). Regresi Generalized Poisson II ini kemudian diterapkan dalam memodelkan faktor-faktor orang tua yang mempengaruhi terhadap banyak anak, dengan faktor-faktor orang tua tersebut ialah usia ibu, pendidikan terakhir ibu, status pekerjaan ibu, pendidikan terakhir ayah, dan total pendapatan keluarga. Penelitian untuk menggambarkan penerapan regresi Generalized Poisson II tersebut dilakukan di Kecamatan Gunung Puyuh, Kota Sukabumi. Data dalam penelitian merupakan data primer yang dilakukan dengan cara menyebarkan angket pada setiap ibu secara random. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan metode pengambilan sampel berkelompok tiga tahap (three-stage cluster sampling). Dilihat dari perolehan data, terlihat bahwa data mengindikasikan tingkat pendidikan para orang tua yang rendah dan pendapatan keluarga yang pas-pasan, namun hal tersebut tidak mempengaruhi banyak anak. Dalam praktiknya dapat disimpulkan bahwa banyaknya anak di Kecamatan Gunung Puyuh hanya dipengaruhi oleh usia Ibu.; Generalized Poisson II Regression is a regression model that can be used to model the relationship between the dependent variable in the form of count data and independent variable. Generalized Poisson II regression is the extension of the Poisson regression, where the Poisson regression must satisfy an assumption that means equals the variance. However, Generalized Poisson II regression can be used in a case where the variance of the data is greater than the mean (overdispersion) or the variance of the data is less than the mean (underdispersion). The Generalized Poisson II regression is then applied to model the factors of the parents affecting the number of children; age of the mother, educational background of the mother, employment status of the mother, educational background of the father, and the total income of the family. The research to illustrate the applied Generalized Poisson II was conducted in Kecamatan Gunung Puyuh, Sukabumi. The data in the research is primary data and were derived by distributing questionnaires to every mother in some families randomly. Sampling was done by three-stage cluster sampling methods. Looking at the result, that the data indicate low level of education of parents and small amount of family income, but it does not affect to the number of children. In the practice, it can be concluded that the number of children in Kecamatan Gunung Puyuh is only affected by the age of mother.
