Penelitian ini berjudul "Profil Kemampuan Kognitif Siswa SMA Melalui Model Pembelajaran Think Pair Share pada Konsep Sistem Reproduksi Manusia", bertujuan untuk mendapatkan informasi mengenai profil kemampuan kognitif siswa pada konsep sistem reproduksi manusia melalui model pembelajaran Think Pair Share. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Weak Experiment dengan desain One Group Pretest and Posttest. Sebanyak 36 siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 2 kota Sorong digunakan sebagai subyek penelitian. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan instrumen tes tertulis berupa soal pilihan ganda sebanyak 20 soal dan angket. Analisis data untuk pengujian hasil penelitian menggunakan uji normalized gain. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, terdapat peningkatan kemampuan kognitf pada siswa dilihat dari nilai pretes, postes dan gain. Skor rata-rata pretes 49,02, skor rata-rata postes 71,38. Nilai gain <g> yang ternormalisasi sebesar 0,50 termasuk dalam kategori sedang. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran Think Pair Share dapat meningkatkan kemampuan kognitif siswa. Hasil angket memberikan respon positif terhadap model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think Pair Share. Kata kunci : kemampuan kognitif, think pair share The topic of this research is "Cognitive Ability Profile of Junior High School Student by Think Pair Share of Human Reproduction System". This research based on the reality that learned biology at school in generally still based on the teacher (teacher centered). This method of learning process ain't facilitate students to be active in study, the impact of this learning proses will make students uninteresting in study. Event students can't expend their mind of thinking. Base on this issue, there shout be a method of learning process to make students active, interesting, motivate, and expend their mind of thinking, the appropriate method of this, is think pair share method. Aim of this research, is to get information about of student cognitive ability profile on human reproduction system method through Think Pair System. The research was used Weak Experiment method, design with one group pretest and posttest. There were 36 students from XI grade senior high school in Sorong city where this research has taken. Moreover, the data was collected by used writing test instrument which consist of 20 multiple choice questions and questionnaires. The data was analyses by used test gain normalized. Base on this research that there were improvements of students cognitive and it can be seen from the average score of each result test such as pretest 49,02, and posttest 71,38. The average score of gain <g> where nominalizes 0,50 which was in the middle of categorize. This is shows that Think Pair Share method can improve student cognitive.
