Summary:Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kesulitansiswadalam menyimak dongeng. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah: 1) mengetahui kemampuansiswa kelas VII SMP 3 Bandung dalam pembelajaran menyimak dongeng sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan teknik tari bambu di kelas eksperimen; 2) mengetahui kemampuansiswa kelas VII SMP 3 Bandung dalam pembelajaran menyimak dongeng sebelum dan sesudah pembelajaran tanpa menggunakan teknik tari bambu di kelas pembanding; 3) mengetahui perbedaan yang signifikan dalam pembelajaran menyimak dongeng siswa kelas VII SMP 3 Bandung di kelas eksperimen dan kelas pembanding.Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah eksperimen kuasi dengan desain nonequivalent control group design. Sampel dalam penelitian ini terdiridariduakelompok, yang terdiri 30 orang kelompok pembanding dan 30 orang kelompok eksperimen yang diambil secara purposive sampling.Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam tiga tahap, yaitu tahap prates, tahap perlakuan, dan tahap pascates. Kemampuan menyimak dongeng siswa sebelum mendapat perlakuan secara keseluruhan masih kurang maksimal. Hal itu tergambar pada perolehan nilai prates di kelas eksperimen mendapat nilai rata-rata sebesar 59,sedangkan kelas pembanding sebesar 60. Pada pascates kelas eksperimen mendapat nilai rata-rata sebesar 82, sedangkan kelas pembanding sebesar 77,96. Kemampuan menyimak dongeng siswa kelas eksperimen dan kelas pembanding mengalami peningkatan.Hal tersebutberdasarkanhasilujihipotesiskemampuanmenyimakdongengsiswakelas VII SMP Negeri 3 Bandung diperolehhasilttabel ≤ thitung ≥ ttabel,yaitu2,0021 ≤ 5,48 ≥ 2,0021. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian hipotesis ini mengacu kepada Ha dan dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara kemampuan menyimak dongeng siswa kelas eksperimen dan kelas pembanding, lalu dibuktikannya bahwa Ha diterima dan Ho ditolak. ;--- The background of this research is students' difficulties on listening fairy tales. This research aims at 1) knowing the quality result test student of SMP Negeri 3 Bandung seventh grade students in listening fairy tales lesson, before and after using cooperative learning strategy bamboo dancing in the experimental class; 2) knowing the quality result test student of SMP Negeri 3 Bandung seventh grade students in listening fairy tales lesson before and after learning activities without using cooperative learning strategy bamboo dancing in the comparative class; 3) knowing the significant diferrences between experimental class and comparative class in listening fairy tales lesson of SMP Negeri 3 Bandung seventh grade students. The method used in this research is quasi experiment with nonequivalent control group design. The sample in this research is divided into two groups, consist of 30 students as comparative group and 30 students as experimental group which were taken by using purposive sampling. This research was conducted in three phases: pre-test, treatment, and post-test. Students' ability in listening fairy tales lesson before getting the whole treatment is still not good enough. It was reflected by the pre-test score that students acquire in experimental class with the average score of 59, while the comparative class' score is 60. In the post-test, experimental class got average score of 82, while comparative class got 77,96. Thus, students' listening ability in experimental class and comparative class were improving. It was based on the result of hyphothesis test on students' ability in listening fairy tales of SMP Negeri 3 Bandung seventh grade students which were obtained from ttabel≤ thitung≥ ttabel, that is 2,0021 ≤ 5,48 ≥ 2,0021. Based on the result of testing this hypothesis referring to Ha, it can be concluded that there are a significant differences between the ability of students' listeningof fairytales lesson in experimental class and comparative class. Furthermore, it can be proved that Hais accepted and Ho is rejected.
