Skripsi ini berjudul "Perubahan Sosial Ekonomi Masyarakat Desa Kiarajangkung Kecamatan Sukahening, Tasikmalaya (Tahun 1980-2000)". Permasalahan yang dibahas dalam skripsi ini yaitu mengenai perubahan sosial ekonomi masyarakat ketika masih menggantungkan kehidupan pada hasil pertanian kemudian menjadi wirausaha, upaya masyarakat meningkatkan perekonomiannya,serta dampak berkembangnya bisnis WC umum terhadap sosial ekonomi masyarakat. Kajian penelitian ini lebih difokuskan pada tahun 1980-2000, karena pada periode tersebut terjadi perubahan mata pencaharian masyarakat serta perkembangan perekonomian masyarakat di Desa Kiarajangkung. Manfaat yang dimaksud dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mengangkat kehidupan masyarakat Desa Kiarajangkung yang berupaya mengembangkan perekonomiannya dengan berwirausaha. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode historis, adapun langkah-langkah yang dilakukan yaitu heuristik atau pengumpulan sumber baik secara lisan maupun tulisan, kritik sumber, interpretasi, kemudian historiografi. Untuk lebih memahami permasalahan penulis menggunakan konsep yang relevan dengan menggunakan pendekatan ilmu sosiologi, dan antropologi. Desa Kiarajangkung merupakan salah satu desa di wilayah Kecamatan Sukahening yang mengalami keterbatasan perkonomian karena hanya mengandalkan hasil pertanian dengan sistem tradisional. Pada tahun 1980 masyarakat mulai mengenal serta mengembangkan bisnis WC umum. Dengan upaya masyarakat akhirnya pada tahun 1996 bisnis tersebut mencapai puncak keberhasilannya. Berkembangnya bisnis ini membantu masyarakat menghadapi keterbatasan, karena membawa perubahan mata pencaharian yang berdampak pada meningkatnya perekonomian masyarakat.;--- This final paper entitled "The Change of Society's Socioeconomic in DesaKiarajangkung, KecamatanSukahening, Tasikmalaya (From 1980 to 2000)." The investigation of this research focuses on the change of the socioeconomic status in the society from when they were relied their income on their agriculture to when they became entrepreneurs. Furthermore, the efforts of the society to increase their economic status and the impact of the public toilet business' development toward the society's socioeconomic are also investigated. The writer focuses on the year of 1980 to 2000 in order to make the research, since there was a change of the society's living and the development of society's economy in DesaKiarajangkung happened in those periods. The benefit of this research is to promote the society's living which is trying to develop its economy by entrepreneurship. Historical method is used in this research methodology. The steps are heuristic or data collection-spoken and written-, source criticism, interpretation, and the last is historiography. Moreover, in order to add more understanding toward the issues, the writer employs a relevant concept by using sociology and anthropology approaches. KiarajangkungVillage or DesaKiarajangkung is one of the villages in Sukahening sub district which had economic limitations, since it only relied on the results of its agriculture with its traditional systems. In 1980, the society started to recognize and developed public toilet business. Then, in 1996, the business became successful. Thus, the development of this business helps the society to solve the economic limitations, since it brings the change of the livings and it affects the enhancement of society's economy.
