Partisipasi adalah keterlibatan atau keikutsertaan peserta didik, baik secara kelompok maupun individu. Oleh sebab itupartisipasi siswa dalam pembelajaran sangatlah penting untuk menciptakan pembelajaran yang aktif, kreatif, inovatif dan menyenangkan. Berdasarkan hasil observasi mengenai partisipasi siswa di SMP Bakti Bangsa, Kota Bandung terlihat sangat rendah yaitu hanya 49,5 % siswa yang berpartisipasi dalam pembelajaran. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TGT dalam pembelajaran permainan bola tangan memberikan pengaruh terhadap partisipasi siswa dalam pembelajaran penjasorkes.Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas dengan instrumen angket. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMP Bakti Bangsa dengan subjek penelitian yang diambil adalah siswa kelas VIII yang berjumlah 30 orang siswa. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TGT dalam pembelajaran permainan bola tangan memberikan pengaruh terhadap partisipasi siswa dalam pembelajaran penjasorkes pada siswa kelas VIII di SMP Bakti Bangsa. Pada siklus pertama dalam pertemuan ke-1 didapat persentasi pencapaian adalah 63,02% dan pertemuan ke-2 didapat persentase pencapaian adalah 69,4%. Pada siklus kedua dalam pertemuan ke-1 didapat persentase pencapaian adalah 77,22% dan pertemuan ke-2 adalah 82,94%. Maka dapat di simpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TGT dapat meningkatkan partisipasi siswa pada pembelajaran penjasorkesdi kelas VIII SMPBakti Bangsa, Kota Bandung. ;Participation is the involvement or participation of students, groups or individuals. Therefore participation of student in learning is so essential for creating active learning, creative, inovatif and fun. Based on the observation result about student's participation in SMP Bakti Bangsa, Bandung it is very low at only 49,5% of students who participated in learning activity. This study aims to determine whether the cooperative learning model type of TGT in handball learning give an effect to the student's participation in physical education. Methodology in this study was used in classroom action research questionnaires. This research was conducted in SMP Bakti Bangsa with the subjects is taken from the class VIII who were 30 students. Based on the results show that the cooperative learning model type of TGT in handball learning game give an effect to the participation of student's learning in physical education learning in classs VIII in SMP Bakti Bangsa. In the first cycle in the first meeting the percentage achievement obtained was 63,02% and the second meeting the percentage achievement obtained was 69,4%. In the second cycle in the first meeting the percentage achievement obtained was 77,22% and the second meeting the percentage achievement obtained was 82,94%. Then this study concluded that the application cooperative learning model type of TGT can increase student's participation in physical eduation in class VIII in SMP Bakti Bangsa, Bandung.
