MENGEMBANGKAN KREATIVITAS PEMBUATAN BUKU SAKU MELALUI PROJECT BASED LEARNING DALAM PEMBELAJARAN IPS

Summary

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi dari hasil pra-penelitian di SMPN 6 Cimahi. Penulis menemukan beberapa masalah di kelas VII K, yaitu rendahnya kreativitas siswa. Hal ini terbukti sebagai berikut: Pertama, partisipasi siswa dalam pembelajaran IPS masih rendah. Kedua, siswa tidak mau mencatat informasi yang penting dan mau mengerjakan tugas apabila ditugaskan oleh guru. Ketiga, siswa belum terlihat mampu merancang dan membuat serta mampu mempresentasikan produk yang dibuatnya, karena yang terlihat siswa lebih berfokus pada pengerjaan soal-soal yang ada pada buku teks. Untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut, penulis menerapkan pembelajaran Project Based Learning dengan pembuatan buku saku. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK), dengan pendekatan kualitatif dan kuantitatif dengan menggunakan model penelitian yaitu model Ebbut. Hasil penelitian yang dilakukan di kelas VII-K SMPN 6 Cimahi menunjukan (1) Rancangan dalam mengembangkan kreativitas pembuatan buku saku ini peneliti melakukan diskusi dengan guru mitra sebagai upaya menyusun langkah yang benar sesuai dengan pembelajaran yang sedang berlangsung. (2) Pelaksanaan pembuatan buku saku pada penelitian ini guru melakukannya dalam tiga siklus enam tindakan. Masing-masing siklus menugaskan siswa untuk membuat sktesa, kliping bergambar dan peta konsep kemudian dipresentasikan di depan kelas. (3) Kendala - kendala yang dihadapi saat penelitian adalah; penyesuaian siswa dengan model yang baru dikenal, sulitnya siswa untuk kondusif, (4) Mengupayakan agar hambatan-hambatan dapat diatasi, yaitu dengan pengenalan model dalam beberapa tindakan dan mencoba mengalihkan peserta didik agar bisa kondusif. --- This research is stimulated from the in SMPN 6 Cimahi. The writer found some problems in clas VII-K, namely the lack of creativity of students. This proved to be as follows : First, the participation of students in learning the social studies is still low. Second, students don't want to take note of the information is essential and wouls like to do the job if assifned by the teacher. Third, students have not yer seen the power to design and make as well as presentation the product are made, because the students focuses more on the problems that exist in the text. To solve the problem, author of applying learning project based learning by making my pocket book. The method used is the research a class action, with qualitative and quantitave by using a model research that model of Ebbut. The result are in classroom VII-K SMPN 6 Cimahi, showing an increase in every cycle is less then enough to be good on the development of creativity of my pocket book (1) The desigen in developing creativity of the pocketbook these investigators had a discussion with the teacher a partner in an effort to lokk at the right in accordance with the kind og learning. (2) Implementation of the pocket book on this study teacher did it in three of six actions. Each cycle sends students to make a sketch, clipping with and cocpecr map then present it in front of the class. (3) These obsracles can be overcome, namely the identification models in some action and to students in order to benefit.
