Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh struktur modal yang diukur dengan Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) terhadap nilai perusahaan yang diukur dengan Price Earning Ratio (PER). Objek pada penelitian ini adalah perusahaan pertambangan subsektor batubara yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia tahun 2012-2014. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dan verifikatif. Adapun teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah studi dokumentasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan data sekunder yang dikumpulkan dari website Bursa Efek Indonesia berupa laporan keuangan perusahaan dari tahun 2012-2014. Analisis statistik yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik analisis regresi linier sederhana untuk data panel dengan bantuan aplikasi Eviews 8. Dari penelitian ini terlihat bahwa perusahaan batubara konsisten terhadap teori trade off bahwa dalam operasinya perusahaan ini akan menggunakan kombinasi antara hutang dengan modal sendiri. Kata kunci : struktur modal, debt to equity ratio ,nilai perusahaan, price earning This study aimed to examine the influence of capital that measured by Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) on value of the firm that measured by Price Earning Ratio (PER). The object of the research is Mining Companies Subsector of Coal Mining in Indonesia Stock Exchange 2012-2014. The research method used is descriptive and verificative study. As for the data collection technique that is used is documentation study. This research using secondary data collected from website the Indonesia Stock Exchange of firm's financial report from 2012 until 2014. The statistical analysis used is simple linier regression analysis of panel data using Eviews 8. Based on this research found that coal Mining companies follow the trade off theory that companies use combination between leverage and owner's equity.
