Summary: | Masalah yang dikaji dalam penelitian ini adalah hasil belajar kognitif siswa. Kajian dari penelitian ini difokuskan kepada salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi hasil belajar siswa yaitu model pembelajaran Think Pair Share. Berdasarkan hal tersebut pokok masalah penelitian ini adalah sejauhmana pengaruh model pembelajaran Think Pair Share terhadap hasil belajar kognitif siwa. Penelitian ini terdiri atas dua variabel yaitu model pembalajaran Think Pair Share (X) dan hasil belajar kognitif siswa (Y). Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kuasi eksperimen Nonequivalenty control Group Design. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan data pretest dan Postes, yang dianalisis menggunakan perhitungan skor gain ternominalisasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diperoleh informasi bahwa (1) Hasil belajar kelompok eksperimen dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Think Pair Share yang memiliki rata-rata gain sebesar 0,7131 yang termasuk kedalam klasifikasi tinggi, (2) Hasil belajar kelompok kontrol dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional (ceramah) memiliki nilai rata-rata gain sebesar 0,6060 yang termasuk kedalam klasifikasi sedang. Artinya, sekolah dapat menerapkan model pembelajaran Think Pair Share untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. (3) Model pembelajaran Think Pair Share mempunyai pengaruh yang signifikan untuk memberikan peningkatan kepada hasil belajar kognitif siswa. Sekolah dapat memberikan pelatihan kepada guru-guru serta memberikan evaluasi agar tetap mempertahankan peningkatan hasil belajar siswa.;--- The problem studied in this research was the result of students' cognitive learning outcome. The investigation of this study was focused on one of the factors that affect students' learning outcome that was Think Pair Share learning model. Based on this issue, main problem of this study was how far the effect of Think Pair Share learning model on the students' cognitive learning outcome. This study consisted of two variables, that were Think Pair Share learning model (X) and cognitive learning outcomes of students (Y). The method used was quasi-experimental method with Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Data were collected by using pretest and posttest techniques, which were analyzed by using normalized gain score calculation. Based on the results of research, it was obtained the information that (1) The learning outcome of the experimental group by using Think Pair Share learning model which has an average gain of 0.7181 was on high classifications, (2) The learning outcome of the control group that use conventional learning model (lecturing) has an average value gain of 0.6143 was on fair classification. It means that school can implement Think Pair Share learning model to improve students' learning outcomes. (3) Think Pair Share learning model has a significant influence to increase cognitive learning outcomes of students. Schools can provide some training for teachers and provide an evaluation in order to maintain the improvement of students' learning outcomes. |
