Kim Il Sung adalah pahlawan pembebasan Korea. Pasca terbaginya Semenanjung Korea, Kim ditunjuk menjadi pemimpin tertinggi di Korea Utara. Di tengah konflik dengan Korea Selatan, Kim mencetuskan ideologi Juche yang bertujuan untuk membentuk dan membangkitkan semangat nasionalisme di dalam diri warga negara Korea Utara. Hal ini menarik perhatian peneliti untuk melihat sejauh mana konsep nasionalisme Kim Il Sung berhasil diterapkan di Korea Utara. Sehingga dari hal ini penulis mengambil skripsi berjudul Nasionalisme Korea Utara: Penerapan Ideologi Juche Pada Masa Pemerintahan Kim Il Sung (1955-1994). Adapun rumusan masalah dalam penulisan skripsi ini antara lain: Pertama, apa yang melatarbelakangi Kim Il Sung menciptakan ideologi Juche? Kedua, Bagaimana gagasan-gagasan pokok ideologi Juche dalam kaitannya dengan nasionalisme Korea Utara? Ketiga, bagaimana upaya implementasi ideologi Juche dalam kehidupan di Korea Utara 1955-1994? Keempat, bagaimana dampak dari penerapan ideologi Juche terhadap bangsa Korea Utara? Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode historis yang menggunakan studi literatur yang meliputi buku, arsip, jurnal, artikel serta karya tulis ilmiah lainnya. Metode historis adalah proses menguji dan menganalisa secara kritis rekaman dan peninggalan dari masa lalu. Langkah-langkah dalam metode ini meliputi heuristik, kritik sumber, interpretasi, dan historiografi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa penerapan ideologi Juche sebagai ajaran kemandirian berhasil menjadi identitas nasional Korea Utara. Penerapan ideologi Juche difokuskan pada tiga ranah, yaitu chaju (kedaulatan politik), charip (kemandirian ekonomi), dan chawi (militer otonom).;---Kim Il Sung was the hero of the liberation of Korea. Post the division of the Korean Peninsula, Kim was appointed to the supreme leader of North Korea. In the midst of a conflict with South Korea, Kim sparked the Juche ideology that aims to establish and evoke the spirit of nationalism within the North Korean citizens. This attracted the attention of researchers to look at the extent to which the concept of nationalism Kim Il Sung successfully applied in North Korea. So, from this writer took a thesis entitled Nationalism North Korea: Application of Juche Ideology in The Reign of Kim Il Sung (1955-1994). The formulation of the problem in writing this paper include: First, what lies behind Kim Il Sung created the Juche ideology? Second, How key ideas Juche ideology of nationalism in relation to North Korea? Third, how the effort to implement the Juche ideology of life in North Korea in 1955-1994? Fourth, how the impact of the implementation of the nation's Juche ideology of North Korea? The method used is the historical method that uses literature, including books, records, journals, articles and other scientific papers. The historical method is a process of critically examine and analyze records and relics of the past. The steps in this method includes heuristics, source criticism, interpretation, and historiography. The results showed that the application of the Juche ideology as the doctrine of independence managed to become North Korea's national identity. Application of Juche ideology is focused on three areas, namely chaju (political sovereignty), charip (economic independence), and chawi (autonomous military).
