Summary:Penelitian ini berjudul "PENERAPAN MODEL INQUIRY LEARNING UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KRITIS SISWA DALAM PEMBELAJARAN SENI TARI. (STUDI EKSPERIMEN KELAS VII DI SEKOLAH INDONESIA KOTA KINABALU MALAYSIA)". Penggunaan model pembelajaran yang dilakukan guru dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dirasa belum tepat dan maksimal hal tersebut mengakibatkan lemahnya kemampuan berpikir kritis pada aspek kemampuan mengidentifikasi, mengumpulkan dan menyusun informasi, kemampuan mengemukakan pendapat, kemampuan mengevaluasi, kemampuan menemukan solusi dalam menyelesaikan permasalahan selama proses pembelajaran. Hal tersebut merupakan hal yang penting dalam proses pembelajaran seni tari. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dalam pembelajaran seni tari sebelum diterapkan model Inquiry Learning, memperoleh gambaran mengenai proses pembelajaran seni tari menggunakan model Inquiry Learning dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa, memperoleh data hasil penerapan model Inquiry Learning dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pre-experimental design dengan one group pretest-post test design, populasi dan sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII di sekolah Indonesia Kota Kinabalu dengan jumlah 21 orang. Hasil penelitian dan pengolahan data menggunakan uji t dapat diperoleh bahwa nilai rata-rata Pre-test hanya mendapatkan nilai 66, sedangkan nilai rata-rata yang diperoleh pada saat Post-test yaitu 91. Selain itu, Peneliti melakukan uji analisis data dan kesimpulan yang peneliti dapatkan yaitu setelah nilai pre-test dan post-test di dapatkan peneliti mendapatkan hasil bahwa 18,3 > 1,725. maka thitung > ttabel. Dengan demikian, pembelajaran seni tari menggunakan model Inquiry Learning cukup signifikan dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Kata Kunci : Model Inquiry Learning, berpikir kritis, pembelajaran seni tari. The tittle of this research is : "THE IMPLEMENTATION OF INQUIRY LEARNING MODEL TO INCREASE STUDENTS' CRITICAL THINKING ABILITY IN LEARNING DANCE. (EXPERIMENTAL STUDY IN GRADE VII OF INDONESIA SCHOOL IN KINABALU CITY MALAYSIA)". The learning model used by the teacher to increase students' ability in critical thinking can be consider as un-maximum, this caused the students' ability in critical thinking aspects become weak, these aspects are; identifying, gathering and constructing information, expressing opinion, evaluating, finding solutions in solving the problems during the process of learning. However those aspects are very important in learning dance. The purpose of this experiment is to know the students' ability in critical thinking before the implementation of inquiry learning, obtaining data to picture about the process of learning dance by using Inquiry Learning model to increase students' critical thinking ability, gathering result from the implementation of inquiry learning to increase students' critical thinking ability. The experiment methods was pre-experimental design with one group pretest - posttest design, the population and sample of the research was all 21 students grade VII in Indonesia's School in Kinabalu City Malaysia. The result of the experiment and the data analysis by using t test obtained that the average score of the pretest was 66 meanwhile the average score of the posttest was 91. Other than that, researcher also did data analysis, and the conclusion obtained after the analysis of score of pretest and posttest the result was 18,3 > 1,725 which mean tcount > ttable. So, it can be conclude that the implementation of inquiry model was significant to the increasing of students' critical thinking ability.
