This research was based on the lack condition of elementary-school's effectiveness in Aceh Tengah Region. The purpose of this research is to describe situational leadership, school culture, and school effectiveness in the government elementary schools in Aceh Tengah. The approach used in this research is quantitative approach with descriptive method. The sampels are 40 schools with 124 repondents. The result illustrates that situational leadership as the independent variable had been postively and significantly affecting the school effectiveness. Furthermore, the school effectiveness as the dependent variable had been positively and signicantly affected by the school culture as the independent variable. Then, it is safe to conclude that both situational leadership and school culture have positive and significant impact on the school effectiveness. The recommendation suggested regarding the result is that the principal as the school leader should be able to lead all school personnels, so they can possibly do their jobs thoroughly, also the teachers should be able to teach and educate communicatively to the students. Penelitian ini didasari oleh kondisi efektivitas sekolah dasar (SD) di Kabupaten Aceh Tengah yang masih jauh dari harapan.Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan kepemimpinan situasional, budaya sekolah dan efektivitas sekolah dasar negeri di Kabupaten Aceh Tengah. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam peneitian aini adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 40 sekolah dengan 124 responden. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kepemimpinan situasional sebagai variabel independen mempunyai pangaruh yang positif dan signifikan terhadap efektivitas sekolah. Budaya sekolah sebagai variabel independen mempunyai pangaruh yang positif dan signifikan terhadap efektivitas sekolah sebagai variabel dependen. Hal ini berarti bahwa kepemimpinan situasional dan budaya sekolah mempunyai pangaruh yang positif dan signifikan terhadap efektivitas sekolah. Rekomendasi yang disarnkan adalah Kepala sekolah selaku pemimpin sekolah hendaknya dapat memimpin semua personil sekolah, sehingga mereka dapat menjalankan semua tugas dengan baik.Guru hendaknya dapat menjadi pendidik dan pengajar yang komunikatif bagi siswanya. ------------
