This research aims to find out whether the implementation of ball modification can improve the play skill of kasti on students in SMP Negeri 2 Lembang. This research was conducted to overcome the student's worry while playing Kasti and improve the lack of skill level in students. The research method used is classroom action research method. The subject of this research is the students of class VII-B SMPN 2 Lembang with 36 students as a sample. The results of this research indicate that there is an increase in skills of playing Kasti on students by using a modified ball. In the preliminary test, 19 students have reached the minimum mastery criteria (KKM) with the percentage of classical completeness 52,78%. In the first cycle, students who have reached the KKM increasing as much as 28 students with percentage 77,78%. Results in the second cycle, increased to 30 students with a percentage 83,33%. If viewed based on the average score of students in the class, then the result of the preliminary test obtained average 67,89. In the first cycle, the average value of students to 74,67. But, the results from the first cycle has not reached the target of researcher (≥ 75). In the second cycle, the average value of students reaches to 79,56 and that means it has reached the target of researcher. Other than that, if viewed by based of assessment category, preliminary test results indicate that students who achieve good category/excellent category is 22 students with the percentage 61,11 %. After the action is given in first cycle, the results is increased. 30 students with percentage 83,33 % has reached good category/excellent category. In the second cycle, the students who obtained the good category/excellent category is reaches to 35 students with percentage 97,22 %. ----------- Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah dengan penerapan modifikasi bola dapat meningkatkan keterampilan bermain kasti pada siswa di SMP Negeri 2 Lembang. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menyiasati rasa khawatir siswa dalam bermain kasti dan memperbaiki tingkat keterampilan bermain kasti pada siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian tindakan kelas. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII-B SMPN 2 Lembang dengan jumlah 36 orang siswa sebagai sampel. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan, ada peningkatan keterampilan bermain kasti pada siswa dengan menggunakan bola modifikasi. Pada tes awal, 19 siswa sudah mencapai kriteria ketuntasan minimal (KKM) dengan persentase ketuntasan klasikal 52,78 %. Pada siklus I, siswa yang telah mencapai KKM meningkat menjadi 28 siswa dengan persentase 77,78 %. Hasil pada siklus II, meningkat menjadi 30 siswa dengan persentase klasikal sebesar 83,33 %. Jika dilihat berdasarkan nilai rata-rata siswa di kelas, maka hasil tes awal siswa diperoleh rata-rata 67,89. Pada siklus I, nilai rata-rata siswa menjadi 74,67. Namun, hasil siklus I belum mencapai harapan peneliti yang menargetkan pencapaian rata-rata kelas ≥ 75. Memasuki siklus II, perolehan nilai rata-rata siswa mencapai 79,56 dan itu artinya sudah mencapai target peneliti. Selain itu, jika dilihat berdasarkan kategori penilaian, hasil tes awal menunjukkan bahwa siswa yang mencapai kategori baik/baik sekali sebanyak 22 siswa dengan persentase klasikal 61,11 %. Setelah diberikan tindakan pada siklus I, hasil perolehan nilai setiap siswa mengalami peningkatan yaitu sebanyak 30 siswa dengan persentase 83,33 % sudah mencapai kategori baik/baik sekali. Pada siklus II, siswa yang memperoleh kategori baik/baik sekali mencapai 35 orang siswa dengan persentase klasikal 97,22 %.
