Idealnya siswa jenjang SMPLB sudah dapat menyusun kalimat berpola SPO. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan menyusun struktur kalimat dengan menerapkan metode Fitzgerald Key pada jenjang SMPLBdi SLB Negeri A Citeureup Kota Cimahi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen, dengan desain penelitian One group pre-test post-test. Sampel penelitian ini yaitu anak tunarungu jenjang SMPLB, diperoleh hasil bahwa anak tunarungu yang diberikan intervensi dengan metode Fitzgerald Key menunjukkan peningkatan. Hal ini terbukti dalam menunjukkan subjek, predikat, objek serta dapat menyusun kalimat berstruktur SPO. Berdasarkan temuan data dan pembahasan dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan metode fitzgerald key dapat meningkatkan kemampuan menyusun struktur kalimat SPO anak tunarungu. Terbukti dengan adanya peningkatan dari hasil rata-rata pre-test ke post-test, HM dan IQ mengalami peningkatan 5(20%), YL mengalami peningkatan 8(32%), FR mengalami peningkatan 7(28%), KR mengalami peningkatan 10(40%), dan FS mengalami peningkatan 6(24%). Maka direkomendasikan kepada guru untuk menerapkan metode fitzgerald key secara konsisten dan dibantu dengan media visual bagi anak tunarungu, Kata Kunci: Peserta Didik Tunarungu, Metode Fitzgerald Key, Kemampuan Menyusun Struktur Kalimat SPO Deaf students have difficulties in pointing outthe subjects, predicates and objects. With respect to this type of children, it is found that they indeed have difficulties in arranging the structures of sentences which in fact have an effect on the messages conveyed during the communication in writing. Therefore, the messages cannot be fully understood and comprehended by the readers. Ideally,the students in Junior High Special School or SMPLB level should have been able to arrange the SPOpatternsentences. This study aims atdetermining the improvement of the ability to structure the sentence by applying the Fitzgerald Key method in Junior High Special School or SMPLB level at SLB Negeri A Citeureup, Cimahi City. The researchmethod used in this present studywasthrough an experiment applying a one group pre-test post-test research design. The samples of this study werethe deaf students in Junior High Special School or SMPLB level. The results showed that deaf students who were given an intervention through the Fitzgerald Key method showed an improvement. Therefore, it was clear that the deaf students were able to point out the subjects, predicates, and objects and they were also able to arrange a sentence of SPO pattern correctly. Obviously, based on the findings of data and the discussion, it could be concluded that the application of the Fitzgerald key method in fact could improve the ability of the student to construct the SPO sentence structures. In addition, through the improvement of the average of the pre-test to post-test results, HM and IQ have undergone an improvementaround 5 (20%), YL has increased around 8 (32%), FR has increased around 7 (28%), KR has increased around 10 (40%), and FS increased around 6 (24%). Therefore, it is then recommended for teachers to apply the Fitzgerald Key method consistently and assisted with the deaf children's visualmedia.
