Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mendeskripsikan hasil pembelajaran berbicara bahasa Perancis mahasiswa sebelum dan sesudah penerapan strategi peta konsep ; (2) efektifitas strategi peta konsep dalam pembelajaran keterampilan berbicara bahasa Perancis ; (3) menginformasikan pendapat mahasiswa terhadap penerapan strategi peta konsep dalam pembelajaran keterampilan berbicara bahasa Perancis. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode pra-eksperimen dengan desain One Group Pretest-Posttest. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes dan angket. Sampel dari penelitian ini adalah karakteristik keterampilan berbicara bahasa Perancis dari 34 mahasiswa semester 1 Departemen Pendidikan Bahasa Perancis FPBS UPI Tahun Akademik 2017/2018. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data diperoleh nilai rata-rata prates mahasiswa sebesar 33,74 dan nilai rata-rata pascates mahasiswa sebesar 71,02 artinya terdapat peningkatan sebesar 37,28. Dengan demikian, peneliti mengambil kesimpulan bahwa terdapat peningkatan hasil belajar sebelum dan sesudah penerapan strategi peta konsep. Berdasarkan perhitungan statistik, diperoleh nilai thitung sebesar 32,1. Taraf signifikansi (α) yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah 5%, sehingga diperoleh nilai ttabel sebesar 2,032 yang berarti thitung > ttabel. Berdasarkan data tersebut, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa hipotesis dalam penelitian ini dapat diterima. Artinya strategi peta konsep efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran keterampilan berbicara bahasa Perancis pada mahasiswa semester 1 Departemen Pendidikan Bahasa Perancis FPBS UPI. Berdasarkan hasil analisis angket, peneliti dapat menyimpulkan bahwa hampir seluruh mahasiswa menyatakan tertarik dan termotivasi ketika belajar berbicara dalam bahasa Perancis dengan menggunakan strategi peta konsep, sehingga strategi tersebut berkontribusi dalam kemampuan berbicara mereka. Kemudian kelebihan strategi peta konsep ini adalah kegiatan berbicara bahasa Perancis lebih menyenangkan. Adapun kekurangannya yaitu tidak membutuhkan kreativitas yang tinggi serta alat dan bahan yang banyak. Dengan demikian, peneliti merekomendasikan strategi peta konsep ini sebagai salah satu strategi pembelajaran alternatif dalam pembelajaran bahasa.----------- This research aims to (1) describe the learning outcomes of the students spoke French before and after the application of the concept map strategy; (2) the effectiveness of the strategy map the concepts in learning French language speaking skills; (3) inform the student opinion against the application of the concept map strategy in learning French language speaking skills. The methods used in this research is a method of pre-design experiments with One Group Pretest-Posttest. Research instrument used in this research is a test and a question form. Samples from this study was French speaking skills characteristic of 34 students semester 1 Department of education French 2017/2018 academic year UPI FPBS. Based on the results of the analysis of the data obtained average value prates students of 33.74 and average value of pascates students of 71.02 means there is an increase of 37.28. Thus, the researchers concluded that there was an increase in the results of the study before and after the application of the concept map strategy. Calculation based on statistics, retrieved the value of the thitung of 32.1. The significance level (α) used in this research is 5%, so that the obtained values of ttabel 2.032 meaning thitung > ttabel. Based on that data, then it can be inferred that the hypothesis in this study is acceptable. This means that the strategy of concept maps are used in effective learning French language speaking skills on the 1st semester student Department of education French FPBS UPI. Based on the results of the analysis of the question form, researchers can conclude that almost all students declare interested and motivated when learning to speak in French, using the strategy map concept, so the strategy contribute in their speakingability. Then the advantages of this concept map strategy is a French speaking activities more enjoyable. As for drawbacks i.e. do not require a high creativity as well as tools and materials. Thus, the researchers recommend a strategy map this concept as one alternative learning strategies in language learning.
