Summary:A family is the first social group in human life, a place of learning and expressed itself as a social human in the interaction with his group. This 21st century challenge makes women able to compete with the men in the career. Not a few of the mothers of today choose to play a double role in life. Ideally, in carrying out his role as a career woman, but also able to perform his duties as a mother. Parental guidance or parenting, especially mothers, plays a role to develop children's potential through their daily patterns of habits, both in the school environment, family and community. This is related to the application of parenting in a different family that creates different characters as well. This research is a qualitative approach. The subjects of this research are mothers who work and have children who study in SMP Laboratorium UPI Bandung, with the number of informants as many as 6 students, 6 working mothers and 1 homeroom teacher. The method used is interview method, observation method, and documentation method. Data about parenting of career women in motivating children's learning, taken by using the method of interview and documentation. The results in this study indicate that the application of career-women's parenting in motivating children's learning, 2 out of 6 informants used the application of authoritative parenting, when compared with the application of parenting permissive parenting and indulgent parenting. Based on these four ways of parenting, the adoption of this parenting style emphasizes students' learning motivation, both at school and at home. Motivation to learn in children who have working mother in SMP Laboratorium UPI, has a variety, depending on the application of the mother's parenting in the family. ---------- Keluarga merupakan kelompok sosial yang pertama dalam kehidupan manusia, tempat ia belajar dan manyatakan diri sebagai manusia sosial dalam hubungan interaksi dengan kelompoknya . Tantangan abad 21 menjadikan wanita mampu bersaing dengan para kaum lelaki di dunia kerja. Tak sedikit para ibu masa kini memilih berperan ganda dalam kehiidupannya. Idealnya dalam menjalankan perannya sebagai wanita yang berkarir, namun juga mampu menjalankan tugasnya sebagai ibu. Bimbingan atau pola asuh orang tua khususnya ibu berperan untuk mengembangkan potensi diri anak melalui pola-pola kebiasaan yang dilakukannya sehari-hari, baik di lingkungan sekolah, keluarga dan masyarakat. Hal ini berkaitan dengan penerapan pola asuh dalam sebuah keluarga yang berbeda-beda sehingga menciptakan karakter yang berbeda-beda pula. Penelitian ini merupakan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah ibu bekerja yang memiliki anak yang bersekolah di SMP Laboratorium UPI Bandung dengan jumlah informan 6orang siswa, 6 orang ibu bekerja dan 1 wali kelas. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode wawancara, metode observasi, metode dokumentasi. Data tentang pola asuh wanita karir dalam memotivasi belajar anak diambil dengan menggunakan metode wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan pola asuh wanita karier salam memotivasi belajar anak, 2 informan dari 6 orang mayoritas menggunakan penerapan pola asuh otoratif, jika dibandingkan dengan penerapan pola asuh permisif dan indulgent Parenting. Dari empat pola asuh ini menekankan pada motivasi belajar anak baik di sekolah maupun di rumah. Motiasi belajar anak yang memiliki Ibu bekerja di SMP Laboratorium ini memiliki keragaman tergantung dari penerapan pola asuh ibu di dalam keluarganya.
